I'll be honest I barely remembered this movie. I remember the books though. watching this now, I think they took things from the earlier books and later books to put them all in this movie. The books start when she's in kindergarten when some of her antics make more sense in that context. They really should have just called this Ramona the Pest (the name of the first book) since Beezus didn't have a huge part in this imo. Ramona and Beezus was one of the books in the series. Her parents in the books I remember being more into natural consequences than actual punishments. The ADHD thing that you clocked immediately, i didn't clock until earlier this year when I was talking about childhood books with someone. lol it all suddenly made sense why the series was so important to me growing up. It probably wasn't mentioned because of the era that the books were written in (the 60s and 70s). It would be really cool to see a movie or limited tv series made with the Ramona series stories in the proper order.
