A lot of this episode was closing storylines (like Riley/his mom, Anya/Owen, Holly J with her surgery and Chantay's character) while also building the second half of the season(the next school year). It shows us how Katie and Marisol will "rule the school" next year as president and vice, as well as Fiona/Eli's friendship. The next two parter is prom and it's a good one! It's technically a mid-season finale but is better than some of the actual finales.

Chantay and Holly J were on power squad together and shared scenes in season 7,8, and 9 and they both did the same internship during season 10 and planned school events together like the fashion show during season 10. They weren’t as close at Holly j and Anya but I do see why they included her in the hand prints moment with Holly j and Anya.

fiona and eli is such an underrated friendship. he brought out the best of her character imo.
