Completely agree with your take that Dan just sucks at finales. The only one of his shows that had a good series finale was Henry Danger, and that was just because he had no involvement.

Yeah, finishing a a tier season with a c-tier finale wasnt that great, but i feel like they could've shuffled things around so that the Logan and Quinn reveal doesnt happen until everyone is at the prom and that would move it to a b tier finale because the finale would've been better with that and the only other issue I have with the finale is that they had introduced James to be with Zoey only for her to break up with James and be with Chase by the finale which was lazy. Would've been better if James and Zoey never got together, that way it would make more sense for her and Chase to get together in the finale. If they did that and had the rest of the crew there for the Logan and Quinn reveal, it would've been A-Tier Finale honestly.

- hold on zoey does have a better them song than on deck - lola being put in charge of the prom 48 hours prior to it was crazy - quinn & logan OVERLY PLAYED with the prom dates - one last quinnvention for the road 🥹 - uh uh dustin was getting paid for those experiments - that scene with jeremiah wouldn't had been so random had they actually utilized him more - mark hitting stacy with that was diabolical - season 3 will always have the best finale

- james was such a sweet boyfriend they did him dirty. but him saying i love you after a semester when zoey lowkey has a little hint of commitment issues & they've only been dating for a semester was kinda crazy - like im not mad that she didnt say i love you back but zoey was wrong as hell for the way she was acting towards him. james deserved better he should've been her endgame damnit. - "i dont hate you. didn't you read the necklace." "i love you whether your my girlfriend or just my friend." "keep it." AND A FINAL CHEEK KISS?! SEDATE ME, THEY HAD SECOND CHANCE WRITTEN ALL OVER THEM, OH JAMEY/BROOKSRETT YOU DESERVED BETTER. - boyfriend is crazy after being in a 5 month relationship not even 24 hours agooh - chaseola/lase the ship you could've been 😔

- now that im older than reunion scene was gutterbutt like it would make sense for all these emotions to be piling in had they shown us them interacting all season to any little extent - the quogan i love you scene was so cute but none of the group being there was INSANE. like how do you reveal that but then just go about the episode as if thats not huge - this was a nostalgic mess but this was my nostalgic mess - every witch way and house of anubis are eating zoey 101 up respectfully
