I actually think the show did a good job of foreshadowing Fatima’s transformation. Fatima has stated multiple times this season that she still feels connected to the monster she gave birth to. A few episodes ago, we hear Kristi say that Fatima’s vitals/heart beat are not normal and that she should be dead (because she technically is). We also literally saw Fatima control Smiley’s actions and movements a few episodes ago when he was going to kill Kenny on top of the bus. Right before Smiley kills Marrielle this episode we see Fatima kind of hiss/growl at him to ward him off. He says “interesting” and walks away. I think this is the first time she realizes she might actually be able to go toe to toe with one because she is one. But she didn’t let the monster fully take over in that moment… probably out of fear. It’s easy to say “why didn’t she just turn into a monster then”. But I imagine letting it completely take over your body is incredibly scary. She knew in doing so she was essentially saying goodbye to everything she was. Hence the “remember who I was” line she says to Ellis at the end of the episode. As for the golem… I think it was more symbolic than anything. I don’t think the writers intended for it to be a literal monster that would fight. But rather symbolic of the monster that Fatima was becoming/turning into. Not as exciting as it coming to life. But this show loves its symbolism. I do feel like we’ve gotten a lot of answers. We found out how the monsters became what they are (the bargain the townspeople made). We found out that the town has been going through cycles for decades (answers why the monsters are dressed in outfits from different time periods). We also find out why Jade and Tabatha are connected to the town, what the kids haunting Tabatha actually need/want (to be freed), and the ending scene tells us that the man in yellow and the boy in white are not working together and are on opposite sides (this was a huge debate in the fandom the first few seasons). Obviously they haven’t answered everything yet because there’s still one more season. But I feel we will get more answers next season. 😌

Ok, I'll try to clear up some confusion, it seems you just have forgotten some things that we knew already. So, season 3 finale, Thabita and Jade find out they are reincarnated and they literally say, we were trying to save the kids from being sacrificed, because one of them was our kid(and it was implied that it was that girl who came up to Thabita). So when she held that scull she just had a feeling that was her daughter's. We don't know all the details how the original deal went between people and the man in yellow, but I hope they will reveal more next season or we get a flashback to the original town. Fatima has been transforming for a while now, or she was connected, but personally I think she really started transforming after drinking Sophia's blood through Clara's tea. So, the last scene is where Fatima realized what she is becoming and used the last minutes she had left as a human to protect the others. Also, the golem she made might be just symbolic or a device for all the faith/hope dialogue, but something might still come of it in the last season? Henry trying to kill Viktor and not himself is because his hallucinations told him to get rid og the anchor that keeps him in this monster dream, and he is like "What keeps me there is Viktor", so once he got convinced that it's a dream, he needed to kill Viktor to wake up. Also, and this is just my own theory, I feel like Marielle might still have a role to play that she needed to die for. She is a big character and one of the three taken by the music and changed in some way. this season we found out she is somehow connected to the souls of people that died here, she was telling Kristie, she can hear them, and they all still here, they don't get to move on. So I think, there might be something there plot-wise, like she dies and maybe helps other souls move on by the end or become Kristie's ghost, (like father Khatri) or something like that.
