This episode annoys me in some ways. I hate the Doctor's use of the word genocide - it' s not genocide, they are not a race, they are the survivors of a hideous experiment. Killing them is awful, and brutal and wrong - an atrocity even, but it devalues the word to describe this as genocide imo

This is an okay episode, the fans of this Doctor will have a different opinion, but this episode is what it is and struggles with some of the same issues that the RTD years had......I like RTD, but we have to be honest.

I think you nailed it really - some cool concepts but not very well done. And this two parter totally deserves to be in with the farting aliens :P

Yeah - I have huge affection for RTD - he brought the franchise back, and he introduced some amazing lore, but there were some right clangers along the way. And that's okay - if you take risks, then it isn't always going to pan out.
