Season four was one of my favorites!

Mo

Finally season 4! This season and the rest of the seasons after this are my favorites. I like them being in college it makes the show feel more adult.

Allan Cornett

Season 4 has some great episodes. The season overall ranks just above season one which I consider the weakest season.

Just a couple notes. In the scene with Giles and Olivia, Giles introduced Buffy to Olivia as his student. He wasn't saying that Olivia was his student. Also, the blue car wasn't Xander's car; he rented the car from his uncle while his uncle's licence was revoked. The car he took was most likely a used car he bought. Great reaction!

Just a bit of info about the widescreen 16:9 format: The PAL DVD releases of the show are in widescreen starting season 4, so there is an official studio released widescreen version of this show, which is what I presume they are using here. (My DVD's bought in Australia are widescreen) Weirdly enough, apparently the HD *cough* "remaster" *cough" scan didn't use the same widescreen framing as the original PAL DVD's - and remains, to this day, as possibly the worst HD remaster of any major TV show. The sad thing is, the HD does add so much detail and look so much better in many aspects in first few seasons - shame about the colour grading and framing and production crews/lighting in frame.

I never trust the notifications! Sometimes I don't even get them! D:

I feel like the professors were made more intense than you'd expect to sort of showcase it from Buffy's (a freshman's) perspective. That's how it can feel when you first enter new territory like college and growing up, people treating you more like an adult. Totally lost, the teachers don't coddle you like they did in high school, a different atmosphere, everything is changing, so it can be overwhelming and I think they exaggerated some things to give it that 'this is how it feels man' type tone to the episode. On another note, Xander was especially awesome in this episode, in my opinion.

Alexis Cardarella

Buffy may have gone wide screen btw? I’m not sure.. but Pedro pascal who plays Eddie was in game of thrones as Oberyn

Alexis Cardarella

And nooo, Giles was referring to Buffy when they said they are one of his students, not Olivia, ewww

Moon Logic

"Are you the homecoming twins?" "What? No, we're the Sadie Hawkins triplets."

why someone would tell someone else this after they have watched episode 1 is why so many people have to get moderators to help other people on the internet, understand. What exactly is the purpose and reason behind doing this? Who exactly does this information help. I know it is my fault for pointing this out, but did you know that after watching the first episode? if not it makes it a spoiler.

Sunday is able to kick Buffy's butt at first because Buffy is feeling so lost at college. She's insecure and not confident about herself. Once Xander reminds her of her power she's able to come back and whoop on some vamps!

The only thing I remember from Season 4 was not liking one of the newer characters for the longest time lol

As for live stream suggestions since I noticed you were a wrestling fan for a long time now due to your shirts which are awesome, maybe you can live stream WWE PPVs but like maybe the big ones. Maybe you can try with War Games later this month? Next night is Survivor Series.

The guy that you mentioned was from Lost was also in Game of Thrones. His name is Pedro Pascal and he played Oberyn Martell.

If it were for Joss, the show would still be 4:3. That was his intended filming ratio. This can sometimes seen as the 16:9 reveals props or crew where the 4:3 would not. For example there's going to be a "in case of emergency use stairs" label that comes into view too early. Or someone who's supposedly nude is now wearing a visible flesh-colored slip.

Christine

FYI - the guy who played Eddie (Pedro Pascal) was not in Lost. William Mapother played Ethan on Lost.

There's also a theory, I think really just a fan theory, not an official one, that Sunday was a slayer who got turned so it made her even more powerful.

Catherine Thurmond

I'm so glad you liked this episode. Usually people dont like it because of the whole "Their not in HS anymore" thing or cant get the reason for Sunday but you pleasantly surprised me with your like. 💜

Ryan Wilson

The last fight Buffy has with Sunday is one of my favorite fights in the whole series. Watching it again I noticed something I didn’t see before, Joss put in a bit of a cartoon vibe in the scene. By doing so made the scene have more energy and be substantially more entertaining than if he didn't.
