During the episode (21:25) the Doctor overheard River talking about him with one of the crew members and how he would open the doors of the TARDIS with a snap of his fingers and then he said it doesn’t work that way. She said it does for the doctor. That’s the reason he tried opening the doors with the snap of his fingers at the end.

Anita, she was so brave and they ate her.......

I love how this episode blew you away. It really is up there as one of my favorites too (I think it's perfectly okay to have more than one favorite/number 1 episode, by the way.). It's very emotional and leaves you baffled and intrigued at first while you're trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Fun stuff.

Wow 21 vote consensus on 10 thus far - I don't think I've ever seen that before. Love this two-parter. Great reaction

Okay, hands up who thinks that mic is about to die? ;p

Aimee

Alex Kingston is freaking brilliant. If she hadn't already had a role in DW she would have made an amazing first female Doctor. I love her.

Man knew how her life was going to "end" before ever really 'meeting' her. That's super sad.

I think that you may have pointed out the one truism in all comment feeds, the moment a group finds something that makes everyone happy at least 2 people have to be contrarian, they can't help themselves. I appreciate the people who voted this a skippable episode because it is more proof, that sometimes people need attention even if it is negative.

Not only were these great episodes but they were among your best reactions. A lot of reactors want to show how clever they are by second guessing the plot and it grates on me but you watched it as it was meant to be watched and just enjoyed the ride.

John Smith

Acting was elite. Writing was elite. Music was elite. Perfect episode, one of my all time favourites. You'll have to rewatch this one day and that final River scene will hit a lot more. Glad you enjoyed it, reaction was great, keep it up.

When you were like "I'm right there with you little girl I'm right there with you" I cracked up because I was right there with you both, I love River Song so much. Whenever someone isn't sure if they would like Doctor Who I tell them these two library episodes, Blink, and one episode you haven't gotten to yet. I'm so glad you like this episode as much as I do. It was great watching someone else have the enthusiasm I do for this one.

10:06 The Actress playing River Song (Alex Kingston) whispered some of the most inappropriate things into Tennant's ear, that is the look on his face.
