Now the season really begins! But really this time. The last scene of this episode alone is EVERYTHING! Love season 4. <3

Me too. Too bad he is too hanged up on the Cordy and Connor thing, which is the least important thing. He holds Cordy on too high of a pedestal.

Primus

Actually there is a good explanation for what happened there (I know there were some background stuff there as well) but they tied in the explanation of why Cordy and Connor happened very nicely.

So trash. Even as a casual non critical watcher i found this relationship to be odd abrupt forced and random as fuck. Ruined her character for me. On sum real shit FUCK JOSS for that. Lmao Steven just u wait smfh. But i can say everything outside of this is legit good

AllieDoh

This storyline start could have been a SOLID 10/10, if Joss hadn't used every opportunity to exact some sick revenge on Charisma.

cil

Great episode until that last moment with Connor/Cordy. Could've been a 10 but that scene takes it down to a 7 for me.

I honestly go from a 10 to a 1. It literally ruins it completely for me.

Bisibia

Game of Thrones level bad writing? I assume you're talking about the last 2 seasons and not the awesome stuff before that... but either way, Connor/Cordy is worse than anything GOT could dream of.

Christine

LOL....that's how we all feel. It's gross. However, please don't give up. Season 5 is a great season of Angel and I think it will restore your enjoyment of this show. There are some flaws, but the production value goes way up. I always remember hating season 4 because of the Connor and Cordy thing, but there is some really great stuff in this season, too. The Connor/Cordy thing is just so gross that it overshadows everything else in my memory. I will say that it's very painful watching these episodes one week at a time, because it makes it last longer for you. It's less painful if you binge it and just get through it. I feel like this arc wouldn't be as bad if the actor looked older...like if they had him come back after being in the hell dimension for like 25 years, or something...but the actor looks like he's 16. Do yourself a favor and just binge it if you can...even if you don't post the episodes on Patreon right away. The longer you wait between episodes, the angrier you'll get...and you'll contemplate giving up on the show, but please don't....

Don't worry, my guy, we're all there with you. This was...a choice. Definitely keep watching, but just be aware it may be frustrating for a while. There were external factors that brought along this storyline, but that's all I can say for now. Hang in there. 😬

I think that actually works in Connors' favour because we need to be reminded that he IS super young, naive, and has a damaged past. They make the point that he's at least 18, but he's still the baby that Cordelia fed and cared for. The problem is more that the original teen Buffy cast were hired as adults, so they were way older than they should have been, particularly CC.

LMAO "we'll see if we watch the next one"? LOL. Meaning you'll go a whole two months before your next Angel reaction like you did before this one? You should know by now that you get worked up over things that happen in an episode only to later find out there was a bigger picture you weren't aware of yet. Esp in the Buffyverse shows. And yet you still act like you haven't learned that already...

Andrea

There's a lot going on here. This choice was indeed unnecessary and there was a bunch of awful behind-the-scenes BS that led to it, but regardless, we definitely weren't supposed to like it. They wanted us yelling at our screens at this point, lol.

Stephanie Bedworth

There was a reason for this storyline and the reason was pettiness. There was a whole behind the scenes drama thing going on that led to this. The only thing I will say is not to take everything that's shown at face value. There's more going on.

Yep def some fuckshit happening BTS. And it took us all these years later to find out for sure what it was, now that Charisma Carpenter has shed some light on it for us all. And now, knowing what we know today and watching that last scene again, it’s even more cringe than we originally thought. And a well deserved “Fuck you, Joss” is still owed to him for this.

Ray D

I think almost everyone is going to agree with you on the Conner and Cordelia thing. Every Angel fan I know hates it. The sad thing is that everything else happening on the show is actually really good. But this one dumb thing clouds everyone’s thoughts about this season and Cordy sleeping with Connor is it. My advice to you is to try to concentrate on all the good stuff happening and try to ignore the Connor stuff.

To explain it would give spoliers about upcoming plot lines. Honestly, I kind of understand it from Joss's point of view...why he was pissed. However, the way he handled it was bad.

Terri

To be fair...fans actually knew about this back in shortly after the season aired. It's just it wasn't stated as publicly with a statement released until last year. That shit was known forever though. I remember hearing about it on old chat boards clear back in the day. Honestly, it SUCKS how Joss handled things. However, I do see why he was pissed. He had good reason to be. How she handled things was pretty unprofessional. However, he was even more unprofessional in how he reacted. It sucked all the way around.

Daniel R

this was probably one of my favorite reactions from you Steven lol your post-show rant was everything to me thank you

Quantoto

We all hate the ending. But I believe this is the worst point in the entire series, so I suggest you keep going because it can only better from here.

Hanne-Marie Pedersen

Ugggh!! I hate it.. I hate IT!! I really don't like the Connor and Cordelia part this season.. HATE IT..

Hanne-Marie Pedersen

This episode is why I only rewatch season 1 and 5 of this series. I hate this part. I don't look forward for this part. I like it simple. Uff..
