Been waiting on this one! One of my favorite episodes of the entire series. Lionel being killed, Lex killing off any goodness left in him (he's full on Lex Luthor now), the scene between Clark and Lex was perfection, and of course the final funeral scene. Amazing episode!!

Such a great episode. Stated numerous times. S7+ is by far the best of Smallville. Can't wait to see what's next

Facts. Unrelated but when you finish Chuck on your page. Definitely worth checking out some of GON chuck reviews. Such an underappreciated show. Thanks

This episode is really one of the standouts of a lackluster season and one of the best of the series. Lex finally truly gives up on his good side by killing Lionel and then by killing his younger self. The standout scene of this episode was the Clark vs Lex war of words at the Mansion! It was an incredible moment with a great music score in the background.

Interestly, when Lex told Lionel he will die in his shadow and never be remembered, it's true because Lionel is in no superman comics, he was created for this show.

Rewatching this I'm consistently impressed with the child actor who plays "Alexander" aka Little Lex. This episode is definitely a series highlight.
