Seon-nyeo and Hyun-ju suffered the same fate (finding the exit and dying so close to it) but for inverse reasons. Seon-nyeo was selfish and egotistical. She abandoned her followers, and couldn't stop acting superior and insulting everyone else. She was so full of it that she couldn't knock it on the head JUST ONCE when her life was clearly at stake at the mercy of a drugged up Min-su, and instead insult him because she just couldn't help herself, and died because of it. Hyun ju was selfless, and was trusted with the other 2 keys needed, which puts her way ahead of Seon-nyeo to begin with. She could've escaped herself, but chose to go back and help the others, dying in the process. Same fate, different paths.

If Dae-ho was actually from the Marines like he said he was and suffered a trauma response based on what happened, I wouldn't have held that against him too much. But he never was. He lied about who he was, and gave more promise than he could actually promise. If he was honest and scared, no one would've expected or put any tasks on him. He was so cowardly that he couldn't even show remorse and instead chose to deflect blame back to Gi-hun. Is Gi-hun to blame for the death of the X's in the massacre? Yeah. But the whole point of the rebellion, was that everyone was putting everything they had into it, because doing something like that was a high likelihood of no return. Gi-hun couldn't have accounted for 001. But they still might've had a chance, had they got the magazines. They might've won if they all tried. Their rebellion was crippled from the start because not everyone was honest about who they were. That includes 001 AND Dae-ho.

If this is the sign that Gi-hun is gonna turn this season... I would not blame him in the slightest, nor judge him. Who could judge him, after everything he's endured? Everything he's tried to do to protect others, despite all odds being against him, he'd already proven himself to be stronger than anyone else in this show. But sometimes even the strongest break.
