I think Gi-hun had an impact on In-ho. I genuinely think that despite everything, In-ho did respect and care for Gi-hun and see him as a kindred spirit, enough that he took the time to give the money to his daughter. And you can see there's a discomfort in his eyes when he sees the games resuming. I think this might've been an indication that he's going to he less and less comfortable with going through with everything

Technically, Gi-hun did achieve his mission to an extent, because he brought together a team of people including Jun-ho and Woo-seok from the outside, which caused the game to be exposed and the Squid Game having to be abandoned in Korea. I seriously doubt they'll go back there anytime soon since authorities are gonna be on high alert now. So at least, Gi-hun managed to get the game out of Korea

246 is probably the luckiest player of any Squid Game. He was one of the more kind natured and brave players of the game (two of the aspects that caused similar players to get offed before the cruelest ones), and participated in the rebellion at the end of season 2, which ended with the merciless deaths of most of the others. At that point, it should've been over for him. That is, if Soldier 011 hadn't made the separate decision to participate in that same game as a soldier, someone who, incidentally, had recognised 246 as the father of a little girl she gave a lollipop to, and ended up being the only reason 246 survived. And if that entire sequence of aligned events wasn't miraculous enough, remember that he went into the game to get money to help his daughter's condition, and left without winning it. Gi-hun and the Front Man both succeeded in getting the money in their own games, but failed to save their loved ones in time. But despite having no money to begin with, 246's daughter was saved and given treatment by the kindness and help given by others. His entire story is the definition of an impossible miracle.

I think when Gi-hun said "humans are..." it's left up to the viewers what that's defined as. Humans have the capacity for goodness just as much as they do for evil. It all comes down to choice.
