So, I checked the age of Winnifred Rose-the new woman in Gilbert's life. As I remember I did like her. She's 19, and he's probably about 16, now. Still a bit of an age gap, if I'm being honest

I also wanted to add I remember not loving that Marilla called the Indigenous People savages. I get, like what you said-she was a white woman during that time period. So she'll have her prejudices, but that-coupled with how she was yelling at Anne-also really bothered me. Edit; And I did laugh that you said you'd be sad Joy if there were NO Gilbert and Anne interactions. I get it, because like you also said-they are babies. I realize I like sticking with older ships, in general, given I'm pushing 40. But I do have a couple of OTPS who are teenagers, like Katniss and Peeta-who deal with a lot of grown up shit, ect. And Nick and Charlie, for same reason. Anne and Gilbert are still one of my first OTP's. So I hold a special place in my heart, for them, lol

I was wrong on Gilbert's age. He's 17/18 in season 3. I just think he looks young, in general, so I assumed he's 16 lol
