It's okay not to get behind Justin and Brian as a couple. That's the good thing of an assemble cast, you can root for other relationships if you like that sort of thing. Everyone's story goes in and out on this show, good and bad. They all have their separate struggles. So far we can see, Justin's struggle with brain damage and his trauma. Michael finding his place in the world. Emmett wanting what he doesn't have. Ted needing a job. Brian with his trauma from Justin's bashing and his trauma from his childhood. Lindsay, never getting the approval from her parents that she craves. Mel, trying to be the best lawyer, helping families while having a family of her own. Deb, mothering everyone and taking care of Vic. Vic, making it another day and leading a productive life. Jennifer, trying to figure out parenting an adult that requires kid gloves because of brain damage.

seems i’m too late to access the season 1 reactions but i’m excited to watch season 2 along with you! it’s been forever since i’ve watched it all the way through. it’s definitely an interesting journey lol

This. I have another friend who doesn't love Justin and Brian. The thing is, the show also lasts 5 years, so characters grow, and things happen that people might not expect

I'm trying not to be into spoilers but I want to say that one of the main things I remember from QAF is how complex of a character Brian Kinney is-and I HATED him-and what a unique experience it was, watching him throughout the 5 years I never seen a show tackle some things like this one, and I don't expect I ever will again. It was just a TRULY one of the kind experience.
