One thing you have to know about Brian, it's been shown but having watched the show so many times over and over again. Brian will do almost anything Debbie asks. She was his safe space when he was growing up. The mother when his wasn't worth the title. And he's great at bowling because being forced by his father to do it to be "manly". If he wasn't good at bowling, I think it would be a harder sell but Brian likes showing off too much.
