YESSSSS!! thank you so much for continuing When you remember what jerks the Justice Gang are, it makes sense why Superman won't sign up with them. And even though they didn't include Mr Terrific probably for filming budget/schedule reasons, I like to think that he has disdain for the way they handle recruitment and refuses to be a part of it. I'm pretty sure the show meant "toxic masculinity" as a punchline that kinda of sinks in real quickly as to the reality many soldiers and militants face when they know nothing else but to fight, and then one day they can't anymore... I was immediately genuinely uncomfortable with Harcourt's attitude like right after she started going off. So I'm pretty sure the show's message on that front (if there is one) isn't meant to be taken as a joke.

Think about Peacemaker 2. He had it dead set in his head that our Peacemaker was a shape shifter. He was going to kill him just because he found him in his room. And I think that's when Peacemaker knew there was no convincing him -- because Peacemaker 2 represented the person he was at one point, kill first, ask later. He figures that if that was past him in Peacemaker, he wouldn't listen to reason either.

When you said you understood why Flag got to sleep with the princess because live action him is an attractive man that made me laugh 😂 Yeah so James Gunn's intention for the people who voiced their roles in Creature Commandos is also to play their roles in live action (if the live action media ever needs to utilize said characters). Frank Grillo (Flag) was supposed to have white hair, like in Creature Commandos, but he had to keep it black because of another thing he had to film around the same time. Also noticed that in the first 3 installments of the DCU, Rick Flag Sr. has been in all of them. Creature Commandos, Superman, Peacemaker.

30 Seconds to Mars is dissed in this episode, because it's Jared Leto's band. From what I've heard, he isn't a particularly popular person these days. James Gunn has also expressed his disdain for him at one point. Probably why he took the time to diss his band in the script this episode lol
