Economos is an exceptionally loyal friend. What makes his loyalty so much more admirable is the fact that he wasn't fearless, he was bloody TERRIFIED, but did his best to help Chris anyway

The reason why ARGUS accepts Judomaster, is the same reason they were willing to sacrifice an entire task force X team, including a US Army Colonel, and leave an entire country of men, women and children to fall at Starro's mercy-- because they're corrupt, bureaucratic hypocrites who are willing to break every rule (officially and morally) to achieve their goals and maintain control for themselves, and no one else. They'll say there's some benevolent motive behind it, but at one point it becomes evident that they couldn't really care less. There is no level of loyalty to those under their authority (Harcourt being blacklisted despite being loyal for 18 years and not having anything to do with Waller's exposure) or a threshold of it that determines who they employ, hence the Suicide Squad (some of the deadliest criminals used as their main enforcers). ARGUS is NOT a good organisation, even if they have achieved goals that are beneficial for the collective. Maybe they never have been.

I mean you HEARD the stuff coming outta Fleury's mouth right? Considering Economos' antisocial tendencies, the fact that it took him that long to snap at Fleury is impressive in itself. He could've just as easily punched him, but the spit made a bigger blow to his dignity.

Judomaster was recruited by Argus despite his Butterfly involvement for the same reason Argus was willing to sacrifice an entire Task Force X lineup (including a US Army Colonel) and abandon a country full of men, women and children to the mercy of a wrathful alien THEY captured experimented on... No matter what ARGUS says, whatever they claim their benevolent goals are, it's all just to hide the fact that they're a corrupt, heartless organisation, who will sacrifice and use and manipulate anyone and anything to further their own personal agendas and stay in control. Even if some of the things they've done are beneficial for the collective, they are NOT a good organisation. Maybe they started off as one, but I wouldn't know.
