The Orr clan, and the stories about them, came about from a conversation online with someone about writing a pornographic encounter between his character and one of mine. He wanted it to be me specifically, but as I explained to him, I do not write myself in the stories. So I made up a tiger character to take my place and eventually he needed a name, so I called him Bobby, then he needed a last name and plucked Orr from the aether. (amusingly, I then found out there’s a Canadian hockey player by that name)

As the short story progressed, and as Bobby told stories to the other character, I needed to flesh out his family, so his brothers, Byron and Brian were introduced, his father Robert, his nephews, the D generation. Which lead to the realization each member of a generation's name started with same letter (which would make for a fun time when I decided the ‘W’ generation would have 8 guys in it), that they only had boys, that they were all gay, and that incest was natural within that family(yes, these stories do touch on sensitive matter, enough one of them has been removed entirely). And gave me ideas for other stories, mostly short, as a way to explore those character’s lives and interaction.

Those short stories came and went, and eventually led to the idea of “what if one of the son’s somehow was ‘misplaced’? Which lead to what would become the “Missing Son” story. Which was planned to be the start of a trilogy (but only got 1 book at this point), but which then, as I wrote another short story with characters from this book, led to the Future Orr series of stories. (short of what happened: I wondered what if that short I’d just written was a story being recounted by a father from an archive of stories about their ancestors, to his children? That needed the name of the father, children, and author of the story. And then I had to know more about all of them)

As with all of my stories of that time, they were discovery written with barely an idea what they’d be about (other than porn) and where they’d end up going. (or how many stories there would be by the end)

Other than to a few furry sites, none of the stories are officially published, nor do I plan to do so. If only because of the subject matters the stories deal with.

Eventually, another friend asking questions about the Orrs and what they would do if they existed in a magical world lead to the creation of the Inheriting the Line series, where they wouldn't be the main characters.

All the stories in this series are in first draft form, without a plan, at this time, to write second draft of them.
