The Movie Buff

The second act is darker because that’s when we see how she truly becomes the wicked witch Oz believed her to be. The standout songs are No good deed showing how after defying gravity things aren’t easy because no matter what good deed Elphaba tries to do she will always be labeled as wicked since morrible and the wizard made sure she would be seen that way. For good is an emotional bittersweet song since it shows that despite that good and bad Glinda and Elphaba were the truest friends and Glinda was more of a sister to Elphaba that Nessa was.

I think it’s important to remember when watching this movie that the story was originally written to be seen on stage all at once, I personally feel like that’s why this half seemed more “boring” or the content wasn’t as good because it’s written to be together and seeing it in the detached format makes it feel like it’s lacking

I can understand how Part 2 feels rushed and all over the place (I agree that it is) but the second half of the stage production is rushed in the same way and idk maybe they just spent too much time focusing on certain things. And although I did think you would enjoy this a little more, it's okay that you don't. There are a lot of reactors who I was surprised liked it at all and some like yourself that didn't but thats kind of the point of watching reactions and I think people forget that lol And just a few things.. 1. Part 2 is supposed to be a little more Glinda based and I understand why people would want to see more of Elphaba (I did too) but the books are written as the story of The Witches of Oz so I think the play is written that way on purpose. 2. In the book its said that Elphaba uses special oils/potions to keep up with her hygiene but I literally LOLed when you kept talking about how dirty she must be 😂 3. They did use makeup/prosthetics for the Scarecrow, there's a BTS somewhere that I'm sure you'll be able to find easily. 4. Do you really think that with current events that there aren't people dumb (or ignorant) enough who would keep believing in the Wizard or wanting to because of their prejudices 👀jusssst saying lol 😂

In the book wicked Elphaba is allergic to a specific kind of water and Dorothy seeks her out for help to get home and Elphaba is torn because she did kill her sister yet knows Dorothy is an outsider like her and is pretty much a pawn for the wizard. In her last moments it’s bittersweet because Elphaba for years felt like she had no soul and felt like with Dorothy she did and it wasn’t an enemy that killed her. Also Dorothy accidentally killed her because Elphaba caught on fire. The wicked series is very dark and way different from the musical like lots of sex death of the animals etc. Fiyero dies still and Boq ain’t the tin man the scarecrow and tin man are separate characters from them.

Fr I thought with Part 2 getting its own movie that they would be find ways to add more but it just felt like they dragged other things out more. Still loved it tho lol

hey king ! this reaction was honestly a kiiii . and i knew what your thoughts were gonna before even watching the film . the pacing was a mess and it always has been one of the big critiques about the broadway - act 1 being better than act 2 . i enjoy the story of the first one - but this movie make me like act 2 more . i feel like the movie doesn’t pick up until the wizard and glinda’s song (wonderful) . as u stated u knew that fiyero and elphaba would be together because of the first one … but u didn’t like how they “got it on” so quick 😭 . while the broadway fans hate that they didn’t “get it on” as quick as they did in the broadway . on stage - fiyero and elphaba instantly started to touch each other and basically are too hot and bothered to stop - and it happens right after glinda sings the song elphaba once sung (“im not that girl”) . i personally enjoyed the whole mirror scene with fiyero and elphaba - but i do wish there was more talking between the two (it was supposed to be a broom scene where the first left oz but the cut it) . and u stated that elphaba left nessa twice . good . nessa loser ass was never the one to have any sort of resentment towards her sister , never helped her , watched her father flaunt her while he treated elphaba horribly, scooted back into the crowd stating that she “couldn’t watch” while everybody made fun of her sister’s hat . she’s a people pleaser . and i tried to have sympathy for her because she’s in the chair so she too will have insecurities but she was a horrible sister . and the first time elphie “left” her was when she first ran away from the wizard and she was basically on the run…. now her leaving her that second time was deserved because how u gone blame me for your crazy ass obsession with spongebob ? also u made comments about the book 😭 . yes the spell book is honestly a mess but it does answer to her . her whole chant for fiyero basically made him painless and brainless because she wanted him to live forever , didn’t want him hurt , not feel pain . all that … got her a scarecrow but- she saved his life . same with boq , except fiyero was the only one to thank her and acknowledge that she saved his life .

now for my favorite songs from this one :) ! as long as you’re mine is my top played song , i love it so much . both cynthia and jonathan did amazing, and my second favorite is no good deed ! i do enjoy for good as well . and my favorite characters and movie one my ranking would elphaba number one - but for this one my favorite was fiyero . he had never believed the horrible things about elphaba so his whole plan was to become captain to find her and save her . glinda as u stated is delusional and just wants to live a fairytale life - so she wants to string him along as her “prince” . he’s also the only person to actually go with elphaba without question . elphaba asked glinda to get on the broom in the first movie because when the poppy scene happened elphaba chose fiyero to help her instead of glinda - and glinda asked her could she pick her next time .. to go with her . and elphaba promised her she would . so she gave her a chance by asking her to get on that broom during the end of the movie but glinda didn’t go . fiyero is also is the reason for the castle u asked about- it was his . he told her to go there during the bed scene - said it was a bunch of trapped door and secret passageways . so that’s how she got the castle . and the same as with the monkeys - the monkeys stood with fiyero . when he told her to go during that scene with his gun pointed at glinda… he told the monkeys “please protect her” that’s why they followed her . and yes - u asked was it a note that he wrote but u weren’t sure ? u never touched back on it after that . u called it a cum rag instead LMFAOAOAO . but yes it was a note that he wrote - telling her the plan . which is why she “gives up so quickly” . also on the stage play the time jump is 5 years - but in the movie it’s been a year . but i enjoyed your reaction so much . very honest , and real as always .

Act 2 of the musical has always been seen as weaker so I think that’s why they went so hard on the first movie because they knew the second one could never live up to the greatness of the first one. I enjoyed For Good despite its shortcomings, but the first one was phenomenal.

I Started Cracking More Jokes Because The Type Of Commentary I Was Doing When I First Started Was Dying Out Very Quickly, Soon After I Came On To The Scene. People Don't Like To Admit It, But It's True. There Were Other Channels, Two Of Them In Particular In Fact. But Also Many More That Had Similar Commentary Styles Like Me, And They All Quit Because People Stopped Watching. It Got Boring And A Big Portion Of The Viewer Base I Was Getting Was Starting To Become Obnoxious To Me. So I Had To Pivet Or I Would've Ended Up Just Like Them, A Dead Channel. There's Some Channels That Do The Commentary Style I Was Doing, But You See The Growth Is Non Existent, And The Only Ones That Are Successful Are Group And Couple Channels So They Don't Count. And To Be Even More Real, Even The Group Channels Are Struggling. The Couple Channels Are Thriving, But Like I Said, They Don't Count. Even If You Look At DylansInTrouble, He Said The Samething Even After I Changed My Commentary Style. It's The Sameway With The Movie Industry. People Say They Want Original Movies Or They Want People To Have A Type Of Commentary Style That I Had Before, But Look At The Numbers. The Statistics Don't Lie. I Have A Goal To Be Able To Do This Until I Die, And To Get Into Movies. That Won't Happen With Me Doing A Cinephile Type Commentary Video Every Time. But Also I Don't Even Know When You Started Watching Me Lmao.

Hey Mello! I really did like this reaction and I understand your criticisms. While this movie defiently was not as good as the first movie, I still enjoyed it for what it was and thought some songs were done well. Also, will you be watching the black phone 2? Im just wondering since it came out on peacock and you liked the first movie so much.

Tbh I don't remember either, but I respect you doing whatever you have to elevate your channel and keep it going. Hey, I'm still tuning in lol. It was just observation and an opinion. I do know I started on youtube then twitch and Patreon or vice versa. Had to be 2021 or 22 judging by my residence but I ended up watching them all and my favs ( one being Legally Blonde) more than once. My son would know he watches you too( He'll do your into out the blue for no reason) I appreciate the response and perspective.
