About the new Patreon policies... (Patreon)

Second: no, I'm not happy about it, especially since I re-gift a little of what you give me to a few other creators, and now instead of getting that deducted from my account it will be charged to a credit card, with extra fees attached.

Third, I hope you continue giving anyway, despite my limited productivity. The energy and focus to write has been sapped by one financial crisis after another- $600 for computer repairs, $2600 lost to transmission repairs, $700 lost because I had to cancel two conventions while waiting for the transmission, and now $400 in repairs to my home's heating- and with my non-Patreon income for November being a net LOSS of $200. Your donations mean a week's groceries for me, and though it's obviously not enough to let me relax and write whatever I want, it does help.

Fourth, if you don't want to use Patreon, you could buy something from my little online store. I'm working on adding items like mangas, light novels, DVDs and BluRay to it, a little at a time... and I've even added what amounts to a grab-bag for folks who just want to throw money at me. And in December almost all of it is on sale- not as much as Amazon's, obviously, but as much as I can afford.
