Well, if it wasn't apparent, the Pony-Martian crossover fic has eaten virtually all my creativity, in no small part because I decided to make it a daily-update challenge. There have been only a handful of days when I couldn't write anything (this being one of them, thank you tendonitis flareup in my right arm while I had urgent work to do), but whenever I could I wrote at least a thousand words in a day... and, with only one hiccup, I posted something to The Maretian every day.

(That fic, BTW, is readable here: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/396744/the-maretian )

So, in the past six months, I have written over 300,000 words.

To put it in perspective, that's the length of an airport novel. And I did that while traveling to conventions and running my T-shirt, book and video booth, the activity which constitutes my day job.

300,000 words is about 50,000 words per month. So, with a bit of fudge factor (since January gave me a leg up, with the long down time I had to get the story properly started), I've won NaNoWriMo for each of the six months in 2018.

And you buying me grocery money while I pay for a new van and other essentials made it possible.

I'll get back to the story The Maretian is supposed to be a sequel to (and also the big-boob Amazon-women fantasy stuff) after Maretian wraps. For now, though, the story isn't over, and neither is my challenge.

But for now, thanks to all of you for your continuing support.
