Hello, I've recently received some feedback from other sources suggesting that NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPU owners are encountering Blue Screen during image upscaling.

Since no similar issues have been reported on Patreon or GitHub, I'm reaching out to the community to gather more information. This is a quick Survey to help us determine if this is a widespread problem.

And if you are also experiencing similar issues, please vote here then message me using Patreon private messaging (it's easier to keep track messages then comments)

Thank you very much for your assistance!

RTX 50 series cards are power hungry. Speaking from my own personal experience, if you just upgraded the card and not your power supply, it’s entirely possible that the BSOD is happening because your card is trying to pull more power than your system can supply.

Hi Aaron, with the 4090 and the new software, I've made 50 one-hour videos all in a row. No problems! I use AFTERBUNNER and leave the power at 70-75%... the last 25% of the card's power only gives a scant 5% of performance and is very hot... 100% power is only for gaming. As a professional video editor, I recommend everyone use my same settings. Best regards.

highly likely, if anyone is having issues like that make sure to check event viewer (if on windows) and see if there were any errors before shutdown ie: driver crash etc. That can also help narrow it down.

A new Studio driver has been released a few days ago that fixes some issues with the RTX5000. Calculating the watts... With the RTX4090 and i9 13000K, it consumes 600W in the frame multiplication phase and about 750W in the image enlargement phase. For non-professional use, you can use a real 1000W GOLD APU from a good brand like Corsair or Seasonic, and it's clear that cheap 1000W power supplies won't handle that load for long periods of time. But if you're using the PC professionally, that configuration isn't worth it... using the PC 24/24 with the power supply at 75% will waste a lot of money on electricity. The power supplies are at their best efficiency at 55%. In my case, I opted for a 1300W Platinum Seasonic APU. It's true that Platinum only performs 3% better than Gold, but with a handy calculator, the price difference can be offset over a little over a year of work. Best regards.

From later me: Yes, I put in about over 5+ images I think and experienced a Blue Screen Every time I tried to upscale them all at once

Turn on the "RTX 50 GPUs" option at "additional settings" tab should be able to fix the issue
