Edit: Poll ended, SRMD CUDA will be removed from the next release. You can still use SRMD Vulkan and this won't affect other engines

I'm considering removing SRMD-CUDA from future releases of Waifu2x-Extension-GUI, since SRMD-CUDA:

Does not provide any meaningful performance uplift compared to SRMD-NCNN-Vulkan

Takes nearly 1 GB of space, basically 1/4 of the entire package

Has a lot of compatibility issues

SRMD-NCNN-Vulkan already can be run on any PC that supports SRMD-CUDA

SRMD is generally not frequently used (though I still plan to keep SRMD-NCNN)

So I would like some feedback before making a final decision: Do any of you still use the CUDA version of SRMD? Should I keep it, or remove it to make the release package much smaller?

does this mean RTX cards will not have the ability to boost performance?

If quality and performance are nearly identical, there's no need to have two models that effectively accomplish the same thing. I don't remember the last time I tried SRMD-CUDA, however something tells me that if it performed better or produced better results I would have been using it.

I did a quick test with a 30-second 720p video. SRMD-CUDA took more than twice as long as SRMD-NCNN-Vulkan to do a 2x upscale on an RTX 3070 Ti. Quality appeared the same.

Remove old support for newer support. I agree. Thanks for your work.
