Finally we have the finished prince. This is the last miniature I still have to test. I'll do it during the weekend and I'll upload all the files on Monday :)

does it fit on a 25x50mm square base? Wonderful sculpt bw!

Love the work you've done on the cats pose! A very prowling style of pose that conveys movement well!

It is intended as a monster, not as a cavalry. The lion might fit, but you would have to make a full custom base for it.

Absolutely gorgeous

That is very nice indeed.

Beautiful. Can you provide a round version of the base?

Looks awesome, but the bit in the mouth seems incorrect. What prevents the cat from spitting it out? (Also there’s no room in a cat mouth so have this and still close their mouth

It is as unlikely that the lion would admit the rein as it is that it could be ridden. We could have been more realistic and made a harness for the mouth, but we would have destroyed much of the lion's expressiveness. The lion's face is not really realistic either. We have based it much more on Scar's drawings from the Lion King than on the real lion's anatomy. So it's much more iconic. Sometimes we have to sacrifice a bit of realism to get a better sculpture. Also think that this type of sculpture does not have any good reference from which we can draw inspiration, and the patreon rates are very high. You only have to look at what others are doing, and not just beginners: https://www.crystal-tech.pl/9921-large_default/high-elf-lion-rider.jpg The differences in dedication are evident

Yeah not trying to bring you down whatsoever. It’s one of the most brilliant lion sculpts I’ve ever seen! I think that’s why I looked at it this critically.

I didn't take it as a criticism :) But of course these are things that we think about a lot every day. In fact, the problem of the rein is the same problem we have with the griffin... If we make it realistic, we cover a large part of the face. And as there is no real rein, that we say that's the way it has to be, any solution is bad in one way or another.

Excellent. Can you do a high elf character based on "Elric of melnibone" some time? Would be cool
