Custom Story #8 — Ashmedai/Oracle (Patreon)

This a custom story written for one of my patrons, with their Oracle & request in mind. I'm posting it with their permission. All the Oracle's characteristics & Ashmedai's gender are predetermined. You can find it under the "custom stories".

An angsty story for a change. Explores the Oracle (in a romantic relationship with Ashmedai) who slowly loses their sanity, so be warned.

His heart beats in a rapid rhythm, so loud, so desperate that Ashmedai fears it’ll tear a hole through his chest. His body turns cold and weak. He takes a step back.

This can’t be happening again. Impossible. Not with Nelith.

Ashmedai tries to compose himself. Even as his hands tremble. Even as he has trouble controlling his breathing. Even as he can barely stand.

Swallowing his fear, he forces himself to approach Nelith, watching their body for any signs of aggression. Ashmedai is used to this, but not in the safety of his house. Not with Nelith. Sometimes the patients at the Keep lose themselves a little, turn aggressive, and he has to guide them back. He hasn’t feared such situations in a long time.

But right now he’s having the most terrifying moment of his life.
