I'd say complete NU, or rather, NUR. I love the format, I love the story. I don't know how it's doing right now, but if it's having difficulties I would cast my vote towards helping it.

Taeminyoo

I'm not a super fan of voice acting so I will pass that one, but still interesting if you choose to do that. Everything Calling chyper is welcome because the 'forbidden' romance with Matt is everything.

Taeminyoo

I like the oathbreaker ascencion like style so I can skip that one too (but again if I could vote everything I would)

Taeminyoo

I think Noctis Umbra as great potential so I voted that one

Honestly, I'm done trying to save NU. It's not worth the effort. If with the anime style it gets more views, its worth it. Otherwise, its a real waste of time. Still bitter about the views. 🤣 Could have done so much more in 1.5 month of 0 return... Anime style is popular, so I added the choice. But I'm not holding my breath.

Taeminyoo

After seeing that comment about NU I changed the vote 🤣 Calling Chyper it is

rinmaru
>>28316958

:) Sorry to disappoint! About 200* views a day in an 18k unique visitors a day website means 0 potential. 😭

GabbyAnn

Maybe in future games there could be a more extensive character customization. The amount of work required for a DA type (faces, races) would be pretty big so a good one for a goal. And since in the latest poll we can see that a lot of us are playing western RPGs it would definitely be a +.

rinmaru
>>28318685

This is a great idea, but maybe for a higher goal? It would definitely require a very long time as I'm doing this all in 2D. All pieces need to be drawn again and again for each CG etc. =) But, yeah. It's a dream! ❤️

AnnieTheFallen

I would have chosen other and gone and asked for Ascension (cause I love that game so much!!!!!), but I'm honestly really curious about the voice acting. I was working on a voice acting thing at one point, but had to stop because of the game that I was doing it for kinda malfunctioned on me, so I'd love to give it a go actually

rinmaru
>>28319981

Ascension is already reached as a goal. It's in development. This is for the next goal. :)

AnnieTheFallen
>>28319981

Then I can't wait!!!! I'm seriously going nuts over ascension haha, that game actually sparked my interest for visual novels

Brianna Shoemake

Voice acting would be pretty cool, I'd also love to see literally anything pirate-based (whether it's a visual novel or just a character creator). Also, I'm so excited you're doing Ascension, and I'm obsessed with Oathbreaker.

I love NU, but I'm painfully aware just based on how I vote in polls I tend to fall into the minority.

Kikiolana

Not that interested in a full voice-acting VN, but a completely new genre of game would be pretty nice. I'm pretty content with Oathbreaker as it is, but seeing Calling Cipher redone would be awesome xD. Sad to hear about NU though :/

Laura

Calling Cipher, voice acting, new game. In that order. <3

Emily

i really really loved NU:Rupture, and I'm so sad to hear you don't plan on continuing it. But as a fellow writer I understand and respect your feelings on the matter.

I know you said no dress up games but hear me out, what about something like an Oathbreaker scene creator/mega dress up game. Its been a really long time since there has been a "big" dress up game like there was for ascention. Especially since character creation isnt something thats super possible in game. Having a seperate game that you can create OCs or reimagine the characters in different situations would be really fun. Dress up games are a great way to imagine our own stories within these amazing worlds you create. So even if its not a "goal" i hope u will consider doing one for Oathbreaker ♥️♥️♥️ love everything u do

rinmaru

No, I'm personally not interested in making dress up games. Which is why I added that note in the first place. Must have made it in bold letter. It is kind of invisible. My fault. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ But do check out meiker.io if you want dress up games! Its a free website that allows you to create your own dress up games with only a click! 🙂

Have you cancelled the Ultimate Avatar Creator? There haven't been any news about it since...late spring/early summer? If you don't have any plans to continue it and only want to focus on making games I understand, but it would be nice to get some confirmation.

rinmaru
>>28342819

No, I would announce it if I cancelled. It's still in development. Just very very slowly. It will probably be a surprise release when it's done. :) I have a lot of ongoing projects, but I don't talk about them until I have enough materials to show/update. If I don't specifically say "it's cancelled", it's not cancelled. Ty for understanding! ⭐

I also loved it. Too bad you won't be continuing it. Perhaps in the future :) All of your works are great

Roe Mi

I would love an update for Ascension Couple Creator but I respect your decisions so please don't take it as a push 🙂 I was thinking about some kind of dark not-well-known, non-cliche fairy tale, since I'm a big fan of the real stories behind them. Nevertheless I really enjoy all of your mini-games, as long as they're included, I'm happy with literally everything you come up with ♥️

rinmaru
>>28369293

I dont take it as a push, but I really dont understand the need to ask for it when its clearly written I wouldnt be doing them. 🤔 Its just very strange to me. This happens very often, so I keep thinking is it my "no"s that have no weight or is this something that works often for other people? "If we keep asking eventually the person will say yes." Does "No is no" only work for sex? Its just really strange to me dont take it wrong! No offense. 🙂

Maya

I personally loved Noctis Umbra, especially NU: Rupture, and I thought your plan of finishing season one of Oathbreaker and then updating Rupture was a great idea because maybe trying to have the two series going at the same time was a factor in NU not getting as many views as OB? I completely respect your decision should you definitely choose not to continue it but I'll be sad to see the series go, especially since we got introduced to Ethan whom I personally adore. 💜

rinmaru
>>28383887

I reaaally wish that was the case, but it's like Netflix having only one show at a time. 😛 The plan was to have completely different audiences for two games, so that both of them could take sustainable views. Didn't have to be super popular, just enough to be able to host them online. But even judging by the popular votes vs comments, you can see that NU has a vocal audience but very very low in numbers. (Which is what we call a vocal minority and it can be super difficult to understand for creators.) This happens very often with dress up games as well, if you check the comments you would see 100+ requests for male games, but then look at the pageview data, and male games are the lowest viewed games. That's because there is a great number of people who play but don't speak up. They are the deciding factor. Ultimately, they win the popular vote. Now, I will try going for a new more popular genre and a more popular art style game soon. If that doesn't get enough views either, I will reconsider the whole "having a few different game genres at a time" thing. But that is very unlikely, because even Calling Cipher gets more views than NU. And that game doesn't even have a Patreon exclusive version. In my opinion as a creator who has been doing this for a while, it's artwork + genre + my writing. But like I said, if it's anything else, we will see with the next game. 🤞 This is my number 1 stress source right now lol. I really want to make the free games format work. 😢 p.s: I will literally cry because of Ethan alone. He is my first male MC, and I'm really attached to him.

No, I think we just want to share our feelings. Before the final stage of grief ;)

For what it’s worth: I really love NU, ***AND*** NU: Rupture. Rupture’s game play is phenomenal and gets me so involved and invested; just as much I am with Oathbreaker! As I was reading above, it seems like Rupture is some trouble, are you going to be able to continue it or is it in jeopardy, or worse...canceled?💔😰 I was actually going to choose the NU goal in the pole, but really I just want it to continue, I don’t need new artwork, new writers, etc. As far as the next goal, on the last poll, I chose the updated realistic style ascension remake, but I also loved the idea of a realistic 19th century gothic storyline! I can just imagine how amazing the characters, storyline, and artwork would be!🤩

Rachel

I would really love to see calling cipher finished, those characters hold a special place in my heart

BaerBrontide

Just to clarify: I didn’t mean to sound like I was rushing you or like I was unhappy in anyway: I think I misread a previous comment and was under the impression you might be canceling NU, and that’s what I was hoping to clarify, so I apologize if it seemed like I was implying anything else! After all, OB is my favorite and what I’m *most* excited for!🖤

rinmaru
>>28521268

It may come to that, but I dont want to make any rash decision, so I'm waiting it out at least until OB is complete. 😗 Didnt think you were rushing me at all! 🤗🤗🤗

What do you think about releasing Ascension for patreons?
