Hello! It's April Fools Day!

No April Fools prank this year: I had something planned and ready to go, but ultimately I decided that it might not have been the best idea...

See, I wanted to make a big announcement today: "I'm going to start releasing assets generated with AI! This will save me a lot of time and effort," etc etc...😂

I was even thinking about trying to hand-create some examples that would appear to be AI-generated. That'd be a really funny exercise.

But... even though there's a lot of people who dislike AI (which is the whole idea for the joke!)-- there's also a lot of people who REALLY hate AI. I worried that the prank might scare some people away or even turn away patrons (my first April fools post scared away a patron or two, and it's easy to see this AI idea really backfiring 😅).

So that's why there's no joke announcement for April this year.

With that out of the way--

Post here with an asset request. I'll fill what I can and release each as I finish them.

The requested assets will be released to the whole patron group.

------

Suggestions:

Requests with likes from other patrons will have priority. The more likes, the higher chance of doing it.

Repeats are OK -- if I didn't get to a request from a previous month, feel free to post it again here.

Stuff with the most general use will usually be prioritized.

Specific assets for the Time Elements generator are welcome (legs, body, head, hairstyles, weapons, etc).

Image references are always helpful!

Animations should be simple: basic 3-4 frames animations.

Start small: I'm not going to have time to create a large tileset for an entire region, but a couple of special objects would be OK.

I'll be happy to fulfill Omega Modern style or Lo-Bit style requests in addition to the usual Time Elements/Fantasy stuff. Just specify if you're looking for a specific style.

Off-style requests will have low priority since it won't be as useful to most people.

All patrons will have access to the graphics made from these threads.

------

I'll be later this week with the first release of the month. See you soon.

Thanks!

For time elements: Maid outfits and hairstyles/colors to make old people

Energy tendrils for decoration, like it happens in some ff7 rebirth areas such as the grasslands, like the spirit wisps you released a couple months ago but more tendril-like look here for an example: https://youtu.be/NUEKd1LU7Do?t=156 when exploring you can see some small tendrils of green energy slightly above ground

Spiffy Pirate Games

I didn't see those! Yeah, that works to get me started, thanks.

Kitsune

Fantasy museum displays and bone exhibitions like a dragon.

ShadowSong

Tall jungle tree / coconut tree and their growth stage please.

Jenna Doyle

Niche, longshot, off-season request, but here goes: a leg lamp. I've got a project I'm working on, and a fantastic joke, but I can't find a sprite that will work.

Fudo

I'm not caught up but is there character generator pieces for more Orc/Goblin type characters? Would love something like that.

Buckle

Have you ever thought about doing post apocalyptic assets for Time Fantasy or Omega Modern? I don't know if thats a genre you personally enjoy (I've kind of been obsessed with it since I first played Fallout 3 back in the day) but your future fantasy junkyard tileset really gave off those vibes and it looked great. In that regard I guess it could be small tile set add ons with rundown modern buildings and streets, rusted walls, rotted or mutated plants, barb wire fencing, etc.

TreeTopOcelot

Single character sheet idea: Painting with moving eyes

What'sWhat

I love that we got new skin color last month. This moth, I'm still looking forward to: more race variation in the Time Element Character creator. (Best Tribes converted to time element)

Sanguine Calamus

I'd like to think we could use more masculine options for the "front extra" and "back hair" slots to bide the time until the next Time Elements expansion.

Buckle

This would also be pretty cool for player housing type stuff/ingame cheevs.

Andrew Wales

Some SV battlers of your TE Robots, if you haven't already released any. I was also thinking that some sci-fi helmets/robot/alien heads for the generator would be so cool.

Jan Mikulášek

I would love more weapons / armors for the character gen, color variants are not that important, just the items themselves, like armors / helmets from the beast tribes. but literally anything that can serve for diablo like RPG purposes. Thanks for your awesome work

Herohammer Studios

Some more mini sprites! Children and Elves would be especially awesome

Kevin Prothero

Lo-Bit heroes, monsters, dungeon tiles. This set is so perfect for game jams!

Kevin Prothero

Got a Like from the boss man. There may be hope yet... :D

Christian S

A flesh eatiing plant monster that is boss sized. looking similar to this https://wikimon.net/Blossomon or a piranha plant from Mario (maybe with an mouth opening and gulping emote so they can eat other characters.)

Tom Read

For the animals pack some walking sprites for the seagull and crow would be cool. There's a nice reference sprite on the RPG Maker forum: https://image.ibb.co/c9Hj89/Crow_Ground.png Also, I know this could be a massive project, but I've been thinking about a few more biome sets that could expand the tileset range and give creators some cool new terrain to work with. One main one that I'd love to see is a 'Cyberverse' tileset with some neon outlined style blocks like from Tron to represent being inside the internet that would go well with the sci-fi set. A few other tilesets I considered could be Candyland, with lots of sweet product-related items, a whole Glass/Mirrorland to build the Mirror Palace on, some kind of Chequerboard Playing Card type wonderland, Prehistoric, Germanic, Scandinavian, etc., etc. I was just daydreaming about various settings that games could be created in and could expand game locations, really. Not sure if it's anything you wanted to work on, but it was something floating around in my mind so I thought I'd mention it in passing. The Cyberverse one would be quite eye-catching and multi-functional, I suppose. Sorry if this is over-stepping my suggestion quota.

Kevin Prothero

Cyberverse sounds cool and would likely be pretty straightforward to recolor for both Elements and TF.

Jake Walker

Hi! I wonder if you could make a little log burner to match with the bigger grey and brown fireplaces from the time fantasy base pack :) Thank you

Retro Panda

Fireball projectiles (Time elements)

Giruto

seconding this! more 8-bit gbc-style sprites...

Alex

Gray / Stone / Duergar dwarves, pretty please!

Buckle

Oh hey! I know I was very vague and broad with the post apocalyptic suggestions earlier in the month so I thought you would appreciate something more specific with a reference. Something simple and straightforward that could work as a small tileset add on. Post apocalyptic ramshackle house/shack like this: https://www.deviantart.com/frufruhm/art/Post-Apocalyptic-Shack-527191293 Its a very commonplace design in post apocalyptic fiction and would be a great aid for those of us trying to make run down homes and towns in modern, futuristic or PA settings with Time Fantasy. You already have a fantastic tileset for ruined wooden homes but alas they're more fitting for medieval fantasy or something more rural.

finalbossblues

how would the SV for the merfolk work? the version with legs? or floating with the tail, over a shadow maybe?

Diogo Felgueira

Floating tail with shadow I would say. Even if not underwater using a sea base instead of a shadow could be easy to substitute

Jake Walker

I hadn't seen the kitchen fireplace before! I'll use that. Thanks for the reply

Owlbear walking sprite (bipedal or quadrupedal)
