Hello! I hope your week is going nicely.

Post here with an asset request. I'll fill what I can and release each as I finish them.

The requested assets will be released to the whole patron group.

------

Suggestions:

Requests with likes from other patrons will have priority. The more likes, the higher chance of doing it.

Repeats are OK -- if I didn't get to a request from a previous month, feel free to post it again here.

Stuff with the most general use will usually be prioritized.

Specific assets for the Time Elements generator are welcome (legs, body, head, hairstyles, weapons, etc).

Image references are always helpful!

Animations should be simple: basic 3-4 frames animations.

Start small: I'm not going to have time to create a large tileset for an entire region, but a couple of special objects would be OK.

I'll be happy to fulfill Omega Modern style or Lo-Bit style requests in addition to the usual Time Elements/Fantasy stuff. Just specify if you're looking for a specific style.

Off-style requests will have low priority since it won't be as useful to most people.

All patrons will have access to the graphics made from these threads.

------

I'll be back after the weekend with the first Monster Monday of the new month. See you then.

Thanks!

Retro Panda

Magic / particle effects for time elements like fireballs or lightning (it got the most likes the last 2 months)

No_Heart

Energy tendrils for decoration, like it happens in some ff7 rebirth areas such as the grasslands, like the spirit wisps you released a couple months ago but more tendril-like look here for an example: https://youtu.be/NUEKd1LU7Do?t=156 when exploring you can see some small tendrils of green energy slightly above ground

Kitsune

I requested this last month, a fantasy museum exhibition with displays for treasures alongside bone exhibits for fantasy creatures like a dragon with both fantasy and elemental tilesets.

finalbossblues

Right now these aren't a priority because I already have that elemental effects pack... unless you mean more like a specific elemental projectile or weapon for use with the generator animations?

No_Heart

I thought these were inspired by BG3 but I guess they look similar enough - maybe an update with a more tendril-like variation?

Retro Panda

Elemental projectiles sound really cool, that was more along the lines of what I was thinking

Retro Panda

Does the current pack work with Time Elements?

Ragnarok Aesthetic

Requesting city tiles in TE style like neon lights and a far city parallax. Would like something a lil more modern and city like for a big city, thanks!

Retro Panda

To better word my request then, a fireball or lightning projectile for use with the generator sounds like it’ll do the trick

Kruglar

Thank you very much for the content that you put out, your work is awesome. One request I have is for more character portraits in the Time Fantasy style

Adam Aventa

More NPCs are always good

The Game Smith

More elements clothing specifically farm clothing to go with your cute animal pack :D

Buckle

You said you'd be open to more post apocalyptic requests to help make a full set so I have one last one if you're still interested: Ruined modern/futuristic interiors. Stuff like broken refrigerators, tables, moldy centuries old food, rusted kitchen sinks/appliances. Grimy floors with holes, etc. I think you do actually have some walls in Future Fantasy that would go well with this where the wallpaper is starting to coming off which is pretty post apocalyptic looking by itself. This would be my final large request of this kind of genre since it would pretty much give you everything you need to make a full time fantasy wasteland at that point combined with the rest of your tilesets. As always, appreciate your work. :)

Sanguine Calamus

Here's a more general one for Elements, non-adjustable (like the children and cultists) for both male and female elderly folks who need a cane. The editor makes them walk perfectly fine, but we may need someone more frail.

Sanguine Calamus

Also more out there: an alternate, more muted, palette for the Elements Tiles.

ShadowSong

Element cloth look like H&M please make some Balenciaga. JKD This is a repost request. Can we have walking sprite for the Sun and Moon Character in Quirk NPC. Thank you

Joseph Parziale

I would take more Animated SV battlers of just about ANY of the characters that don't have them. Especially of monsters/creatures that just have walking sprites, so they can be used as enemies to make a cohesive looking game. There are so many amazing characters that have no Animated SV battlers or emotes. And almost none of the monsters have them. Even just 2 animations would make a world of a difference, Attack and Damaged animations for monster sprites.

Joseph Parziale

Yeah, more SV battlers are my #1. Ideally I would like to use all sprites for my battlers both character and enemy, and while there are a ton of great monster/creature sprites in the TF set, they are only walking animations.

Jacob Jones

Repeat Request, sorry for sounding like a broken record. I was wondering if we could get more for the Time Elements Generator like: Two-Handed weapon swing animation, Scarves, More hairstyle that don't hide the long ears, Tails to match the cat and rabbit ears. It doesn't have to be ALL of these, just listing what I hope to see down the line.

finalbossblues

Monsters aren't gonna be animated for the Time Fantasy style, unless it makes sense as a party member. Like if you think of final fantasy games, the monsters were still illustrations... but there's always the argument for the occasional nonstandard party member like Umaro or Mog.... :hmmm:

Nathan Lewis

I'll throw it out there. Maybe some more species of trees? Would love your take on a Weeping Willow and maybe some others

finalbossblues

No apologies needed for a repeat request. I only have enough time for so many requests every month, repeats are welcome. As for Elements generator pieces specifically, keep em coming, but note that it's more likely to add them to my list for the next expansion vs as a regular request post. Thanks!

finalbossblues

We have modern and neon city tiles, but a parallax is an interesting idea!

Joseph Parziale

I know what you mean, but there are so many more RPG's out there other than just Final Fantasy, that didn't use illustrations, and used sprites. Breath of fire, Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, etc. I find them to be a lot more charming and appealing than games like Earthbound and even FF with static battler images. It would just be nice for variety so you aren't just locked into one option when using the Time Fantasy set. I plan on using the Chrono engine for example in RPG maker MV, and having sprites for the monsters would be amazing. Right now, I can use the Time Fantasy for all of my hero characters, but I am going to have to find monster sprites that somehow match the Time Fantasy set. (Luckily there are enough TF monster battlers and human battlers to cover a portion of what I need)

Andrew Wales

More weapons in the TE Character editor. Things like rapiers, cutlasses, rifles, handguns, rayguns, etc.

MrKlamma

I mean, this would be a lot of work, but how about a time fantasy rework for Omega? So we can make old houses, buildings and ruins too 😯😍

Joseph Parziale

Yeah, I'll be honest, I really wish they didn't switch art styles to the TE. I would love to be able to use the TE stuff with the TF set, but it just takes too much work to recolor them all. I'd gladly pay for a TF palette of the elements stuff. There are just so many resources in the TF set already, and not enough in the TE to make a full game on its own.

finalbossblues

That's why the new style has animated monsters so you can make use of them in a wider variety of styles! Monster Monday's gonna keep happening :)

DC

Elements ideas: thin saber sword (pirate/military ceremonial), straw farmer hat, ethnic hairstyles (afro, braids, curly, Jewish payot, mullet, Babylonian), new beard options. Elements kids with different clothing (primitive/tribal, ethnic)

Joseph Parziale

The new style is definitely awesome. I like it better than TF for sure. And that's saying something, because the TF set is awesome. It's just unfortunate they aren't compatible with the TF set though. If we were able to combine both sets somehow, we would have an incredible wealth of options between the 2. There just aren't enough resources in the TE set yet to make a full game. So if I want to start my game now, I am pretty much forced into TF, unless I want to wait a few years for the TE set to catch up.

Joseph Parziale

Would it ever be possible to have a campaign to convert the TF resources to match the TE set? I know I would personally pony up a lot of money to make it worth your while. I'm sure others might feel the same. There are already so many resources that you toiled away on for years, it's a shame to leave them behind if you want to use TE stuff. I have no idea what that would entail for you, but I would easily offer up $150 just myself and the continued patreon towards that campaign. Having a nice cohesive RTP that isn't the lame one RPG maker always comes with is worth its weight in gold IMO. And your TF and TE sets are the best there is. Add in the character generator you have going, which has endless possibilities as you keep adding packs to it, and it would be a home run for me. Regardless, thank you for so many amazing resources.

finalbossblues

Thanks! I've shared a tutorial for how to make the TF stuff match the updated colors. https://www.patreon.com/posts/matching-tf-to-78045454 If there's a lot of interest I might be able to make some sort of Photoshop action that automates the process and share that, so TF users can easily update the sets they're using. To do it myself, it's likely for the full sets-- and I have considered more of a "remaster" even, for some of the older stuff specifically-- but for the sheer amount of extras and add-ons in the archive and all of the bonus material, that's just not realistic. Going in the other direction is something I can more easily do for Elements releases (and have done with some of the later TF tilesets which were in a transitional style and could work with both).

Joseph Parziale

This is just what I needed! I don't mind putting the effort in if it's something I can handle. This definitely looks doable with photoshop to convert the stuff over. (Usually sprite work is over my head :( ) This works for tilesets. Would the characters and SV battlers be converted in the same way? From TF to TE? I believe they are the same proportions and scale just the wrong palette? Thanks again, I appreciate you being so helpful. (Am an old RMXP user from like 20 years ago, this set and MZ has renewed my interest in trying again. Hate the chibi RTP :Vomit:)

Joseph Parziale

Side note, I purchased the Elements set, and the generator won't work on my MAC laptop. Was this ever fixed? Thank you!

finalbossblues

There was an update to the elements generator that SHOULD work with macs, but I have no way of testing it myself. https://finalbossblues.itch.io/time-elements-character-core-set/devlog/682261/generator-update As for the TF characters-- you should be able to match the colors in the same way, and they'll be perfectly compatible with the tiles because they use the same 16x16 base size. If you want to mix the TF and TE characters though, they might clash because they have different proportions. Thanks

Joseph Parziale

That's what I am using. 2.1. Sadly it doesn't work with MACs. I can't open the generator at all. I've tried everything to get around it.

Sanguine Calamus

Well the Elements characters are most customizable but it seems like the TF tiles are too pastel for them. I can do a simple outline mod for the characters and tiles to have darker ones, but might want to expand on their eyes for my more serious vibe.

finalbossblues

That was a character I made for a little project of my own. Unlikely to be released, sorry!

Herohammer Studios

Elf minis, child minis or lizard-man minis would still be lovely

Andrea Meo

Hi! Maybe a scarf on the generator would be nice!

Aaron Bradshaw

An action RPG boss character to fit in with the series of Monsters you've been producing would be great! Something akin to 2D Zelda bosses.

Christian S

Some more magic element type stuff such as fire balls, ice shards and other stuff that can be shot at enemies in the elements style would be nice. also maybe some Magical circles that can be used as a type of shadow that can be put underneath characters. The seal of Solomon for example could be used for white magic/healing while classic style magic circles can be used for black magic. And for stuff like Time magic a simple Hourglass shape.

Thais W Nielsen

Hello again! Very sorry for the long post! I have been a fan the the Time Fantasy series for a long time, and I have recently gotten back into RPG Maker Games after "Fear and Hunger" was released, so I have found my old Game Development documents and assets again. I have a series of requests for you, and I know that you can't do them all, but maybe some of them over some time, so these requests are all in the RPG Maker Time Fantasy form. Everyone may enjoy these requests. 1. Race expansion: This request could work with multiple races like Ratmen, Antmen, and the mushroom people, but are meant for the Ratmen Generally. I would like to see a expansion to these races in two aspects; The Races themselves, and their environment. As these races are generally build on being a collective I would like to two roles within these races, A form of Rat Broodmother / Ant Queen to show where they come from, and Slaverat / Workerants. In the enviroment department could it be nice to see a dirty tileset of junk and "Dirty" items, for the ants a very round tunnel system could be nice to find in one of the caves. Since the ratmen are a lot like the Council of Three / Warhammer, maybe very different kinds of rat clans like one is mutated, one is very smart, and one relied on bigger natural rats. 2.New Race: This request is for a new form of race which I don't think that you have touched upon before in any sense (Sorry if I am wrong, besides the one character), I would like a race Owlfolk which could be a very knowledgeable people whom studies a lot, and their elders are part of some kind of collective council, the males bigger than the females. The race could be natural wizards or anything alike. Please message me if you want more information, or have questions to this one. 3. More variants add to the the Big icon set: I would like more variants to the big icon set, and maybe many of them are just recolors, of which my skills are too poor to do myself, I have a few examples like More colored potions, More potion sizes, Empty Flasks, more powders, Special powders, Broken items, Different papers (Blank Paper), More Metal bars (Copper, Tin, Bronze, Steel), Coal clumps, tools for different professions like Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Cooking, Inscription, Tailoring, and so. More Key items (Important items) which are in 1/4, or 1/2, like the half moon key or just more price items. More Food Items, like monster meat, chicken meat, recolored plants, Robot parts, electronics, and a few modern items. I know that this must be a bit of a boring task but I feel like this would generally help more people than my other requests. 4. Windows Skins for RPG Maker: I would really like to see your different version of the general window skins for RPG Maker, It could fit any of your different styles, and would generally be fun to see. 5. More Skill Animations I would like to see more animations for different skills, I feel like this could also help a lot of people with more variety in their games. 6. More battlers (Facing the player) 7. More Faces. Error Reporting: All of your Bundle Downloads from 2017-2020 seems like they don't work, or maybe it's just me. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

finalbossblues

1. For the environment, I think that there's plenty of tiles you could use for them, but you might need to mix and match some different sets together and I think you could come up with a good biome for this sort of thing. 2. There's a tribe of bird people. I could potentially make an owl or two and you can use them as members of that tribe, but unlikely to make a full set just based on owls. 4. window skins are weird because modern rpgmaker makes them a lot less interesting, with how it does the textures and alters colors in the database and such, if it was more like classic RM2K windowskins then I'd certainly do them more often. I wonder if there's interest in just making window assets and not worrying about the rpgmaker limitations... 5. skill animations (I assume you mean like impacts or magical effects like fire and such) tend to be very low on the priority list because it's a lot easier to mix and match the styles and use effects from other artists too, so I prioritize things that expand my style. So a general skill animation pack is unlikely, but I'm open to specific ideas for patron request releases Downloads: they should work if you paste the URL directly, modern browsers seem to have a grudge against big zip files. At least they are working for me Thanks!

Thais W Nielsen

Fair enough, those a some good answers, I would really love some owls if you get the time, and do you still do commissions? I have a few specify things in my mind.

Xerigart C

Hello, could you do something like catastrophic darker-with lava terrain barren lands with bones of the dead monsters something? Lava waterfall, lava lake, shattered terrain, abyss, some intimidating aura stones (like really sharp ones) environment? Exterior and interior of a building tile set for the environment also a good additional. 👍

Alex

Gray / stone dwarves, please!

No_Heart

Dragon Turtle walking set?
