2025 Highlights:

Asset Pack Releases

Castle and Catacombs

Elements Character Expansion 2

Beast Tribes 2 (Patreon Bonus Pack!)

Elements Four Seasons Update (Free Expansion!)

Frog Week

Frog Week Day 1

Frog Week Day 5

Frog Mother

This year's special event week! A whole new tribe of frogs, with an animated hero battler. This event allowed us to fill out the series of tribes to compile into Beast Tribes 2 for patrons.

Workshop Tile Add-ons

Butcher Shop

Spinning Machines

Bakery Tiles

And more. All of these were patron requests, and all of them became bigger and bigger as I got into working on them.

Ultimately these, alongside other farming and crafting stations I've made over the years, make up a really strong asset core that doubles as a "survival/crafting/workstation" collection AND as a tileset for "market/town interiors".

One of my goal releases for the upcoming year will be a revisit/remaster of all of these (with more) into a consistent ultimate collection.

Arcade Zone Add-ons

Welcome to Arcade Zone

Ball Pit Tiles

Sports Balls

These started as a smaller patron request, and we continued to build on it, following the ideas and expanding a simple concept into a whole biome.

I'd really like to explore more unique locations like this next year, especially creative ones with cute interactive objects like the ball pit.

In-Game Example Videos

Kickin' Leaves

Piles of Garbage

Flip a Coin

Last year's Summer of Monsters was my major experiments with gameplay video examples to go with my assets.

This year, I put a lot of time and work into my own RPG project in Game Maker. One of my reasons for making this game is to have my own environment to implement, test, and record sweet examples of the assets that I release.

I think that the videos and and clips do a good job of showing how you might want maximize the assets in your game.

In fact, I've thought about sharing the code/logic/game maker objects directly, in case you want to implement some of these things yourself. I dunno if that would be very useful to you, or if enough patrons use Game Maker for that to be worth it.

Let me know what you think about that idea, if it would be useful to you, or an idea we might want to explore in the new year.

Reflections and Resolutions

As I was looking thought all of these, I found that I was consistently blown away by the quality of our recent stuff.

It's been the best year yet, not just for the huge amount of work we've finished, but because we stepped it up quality-wise. That's right fellas 2025 was a home run for quantity and quality.

After doing pixel art for 20 years, a lifelong hobby that became a career, I find that I'm still learning new things and improving in technique. I'm able to spend every day deeply involved in the craft, and I can only do that because of your patronage.

That role of full-time artist comes with two responsibilities. 1. (of course) to continue making quality art for my patrons and your projects,

and 2. to continually improve at making that art, not just so your games (or my own) are better, but for the sake of the art form itself.

That's my artsy-fartsy hippie-nerd 🤓 way of saying:

This is the year where I realized that my pixel art... is finally better than most of those SNES greats that I've always looked up to.

Which means...

Limit break!

Next year I have a goal to really challenge myself, and especially now: when human creativity is more important than ever-- I'm looking forward to taking on the wildest patron requests.

Bring it on!

------

That's it for now.

I'll be back on Friday with the first request-thread of the new year, and then we'll be back to the regular release schedule on Monday. See you then.

I look forward to another year of working with you!

Thanks for everything!

Happy new year from NZ, and thanks for all your work over the years. It's so cool seeing how far your art has come, and seeing you revisit older things like OM. I can't speak for others but as a gamemaker user I'd love to see any code/objects you were willing to share. Cheers!
