Good morning! today I have a few handy little animations to share with you.

Take a look at the icon popup when she takes this hit:

I made this little animation to use in my game, and then figured that it would be useful in a variety of different projects. So I grabbed some other icons from my icon set and made a couple more to share:

I hope that your project has a need for one of these armor/defense-break animated icons!

I've exported these into animation sheets that should work in RPGMaker, as well as a master sprite-sheet that includes all three of these (with 32x32 frames, so you can easily import or splice/rearrange the set).

Here are the Downloads:

Armor Break Animated Icons - Master Sheet (100%)

Armor Break A - Animation Sheet - 100% - RM

Armor Break A - Animation Sheet - 200% - VX/A

Armor Break A - Animation Sheet - 300% - MV/MZ

Armor Break B - Animation Sheet - 100% - RM

Armor Break B - Animation Sheet - 200% - VX/A

Armor Break B - Animation Sheet - 300% - MV/MZ

Armor Break C - Animation Sheet - 100% - RM

Armor Break C - Animation Sheet - 200% - VX/A

Armor Break C - Animation Sheet - 300% - MV/MZ

Okay, that'll be it for today. I'll see you next week with something new.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Thanks!

Yesss 🥳this will be perfect for the Octopath type-ish Break system in my game, I hadn't thought about what to replace the placholder animation with for a while but this is perfect, nice and subtle.

@finalbossblues I have a question: I’m using your character generator and have the Core, Expansion 1, and Expansion 2 bundles. I see that you have a idle animation here. How would i go about creating a idle standing animation?

Someone else had a similar idea recently, I've put some thought into this exact question: To do a breathing animation well you'd generally want to use subpixeling techniques, which isn't really compatible with the structure of generator pieces, but is more suited for full characters. If you don't need that level of detail for your specific project, but want to have some general idle movement, then it might be the easier approach to simply have the idle animation bounce up and down by 1 pixel (probably at the waistline). Thanks!

Thanks for the Answer! Hmm subpixel animation like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqd6epIWo6E) seems to be very work intensive for me currently. Ill try how it looks if there is 1 pixel body/top animation (or maybe half a pixel) when i find a better aproch i will write here again :)
