Hello, hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! I'm back with another set of Elements Weapons for the first release of July!

Today: the wizard staff!

I have three main variants here: Two slightly different curved-head designs, and one with an embedded crystal. Each design has three color variants for the tiers of wood-material of the main staff, and then the crystal version also comes with a bunch of different color variants, so you can use them to represent different types of elemental magic.

☀️ ELEMENTS WEAPONS SUMMER ☀️

Every Monday for this June and July, I'll have a new Elements piece, specifically focusing on more variety for weapons/armor/accessories for combat. I have a big list of requests and suggestions from patrons, so I think that this will be a really useful one!

Back Sheathed Swords 1 and 2

Back Quiver and Sheathed Giant Sword

Crossbow and Bow2

Mace and Morningstar

After the event's finished with the full series, I'll compile them into the next expansion pack for Elements, and this time it'll be available as a patron pack (like we've done with other patron-event-collections).

Reminder: If your browser doesn't like the taste of the .zip file, force-feed it with a copy-paste into the URL bar.

Okay, that's it for today. I hope these are useful for your project. I'll be back on Friday with the next regularly-schedule asset release.

Thanks for everything! 🙏 Have a magical week!

I love you.

This is awesome! Super happy I found your Patreon, these updates are amazing for my game! Thanks for all the hard work you've been doing. Quick question, are you planning on adjusting the sword/shield sprite sheets? Currently the sword sprite sheet has the sword shown equipped in the right hand, but it switches hands to the left hand when your character is facing to the left. It does the same thing for the left handed shield, where on some of the player sprites it has in the right hand facing out. So when you combine the right handed swords with the left handed shields, they overlap on the sprite sheets.

Thanks for signing up! 1. We've put a lot of thought into that, and the truth is that its one of those details that us devs notice, and the players don't. The vast majority of 2D games flip their sprites and it never comes up as an issue for players. (If your players notice or care about the east/west flip, then it generally means that something else in the gameplay/execution is lacking and they're being distracted.) Thus it's not worth the time or effort for a general-use series like this (which remember, would be amplified expontentially for a set like this with interchangeable pieces). 2. If your game uses a specific hero made from the parts and you're not using them as interchangeable pieces, then it could be worth it for the extra polish, because for one unique character with a single set of animations, it'd be significantly less complex. In that case yeah, if you want to combine and edit the sheets you're welcome to do so and I encourage you to edit the sheets as needed. But at that point it really depends on your specific project so it's beyond the scope of the series as a general-use pack. Everything should be there for you to work with, you'd just need to rearrange them however works best for you. Hope that makessense. Thanks!

No that makes complete sense! Thanks for breaking it down thoroughly for me to understand. Excited to see more Time Elements releases, thanks for all your hard work!
