Whips and Chains (Elements Weapons) (Patreon)
Content
Howdy partner! Hope you had a great weekend. I've got another set of weapon animations today.
This set contains a bunch of whip and chain animated attacks that'll work well as a long-ranged weapon. There's a regular whip, a thorn whip, a ball-and-chain, and a bladed chain. Each one comes with a couple color variations.
☀️ ELEMENTS WEAPONS SUMMER ☀️
Every Monday for this June and July, I'll have a new Elements piece, specifically focusing on more variety for weapons/armor/accessories for combat. I have a big list of requests and suggestions from patrons, so I think that this will be a really useful one!
Back Quiver and Sheathed Giant Sword
Arrow Varieties and Throwing Blades
Animated Throwables (Axes, Blades, Boomerangs and More)
After the event's finished with the full series, I'll compile them into the next expansion pack for Elements, and this time it'll be available as a patron pack (like we've done with other patron-event-collections).
Note On Use:
These are too big to be equippable directly on the character sheet.
Therefore: Like some of the other releases of the past couple weeks, these ones go beyond the limits of the character generator: they're best used as overlays in-game.
They are designed to line up with the Elements "attack" animation, as you can see in the preview above.
In this way, they're similar to the fishing poles which are also too big to fit on a regular sheet.
Regarding range: The point of impact is a consistent distance for each direction: three tiles away from the player's standing location. This might be useful depending on how you implement the attack hitbox in your game project.
I hope that these will be useful in your game project!

Okay, that's it for today. And that's the last entry in our two-month-long summer event full of Elements weapons. I hope that this series has contributed a lot of new variety to your games.
The end of the month is on a Friday this week, so I'll have our regular recap thread for our post then.
I also have a busy weekend coming up: I'll be showcasing my game Godless Avalon at the Southern Fried Gaming Expo in order to gauge player reactions and get some feedback (with Bit by Bit Sound, who did the title theme music, I'm using a bunch of other tracks from his Patreon too). Stop by the indie room if you're there.
Then, I'll have the August request thread on Monday of next week, to start off fresh and energized for the next month.
See you soon. Thanks for everything!
