New Rooftop Texture Tiles (Patreon)

Hello, I hope you had a nice weekend.

I've got a new set of tiles to share with you that I've been working on for the past week. I'm excited to show them off today!

The plan is for these to be foundational for the Elements City and Villa (Rome-inspired) tileset that we'll be working on later in the year! For the time being, these rooftops will give you some options that work alongside the existing Elements building tiles, so you can some more architectural variety for your towns.

Sets like this are always complicated: even if we put aside how complex the textures are, it's always tedious to consider all of the various ways that the rooftops and buildings can come together. And on top of that, we're definitely going to want to extend them in the future too!

(Honestly, I hope they're different enough from rooftop tiles from the first Elements set... for the amount of time I put into these things, I worry if it was wasted and the players won't notice a difference! 😝 )

Anyways, I'm not gonna say too much more: the tileset is pretty complex, but hopefully the preview image abouve can be a handy guide if you have any problems figuring out how they piece together.

There's two color variations here, and they're arranged in a general tile add-on-sheet, so you can add them to any existing tileset in a way that will work best for your needs.

(Note for RM users: I tried to arrange the tiles in a way that makes sense, but they don't fit super cleanly into an RM-formatted sheet yet. Since I plan to expand them in the future anyway, I didn't want to force them into any specific arrangement that might change: so for now it's a regular add-on that you can mix into an existing tileset).
