Hello! 

Guess what -- !

...the first request thread was posted on May 1, 2017. So this is an anniversary for four years of patron requests. I think that's worth being proud of... crazy to think about how many requests we've managed to fill over the years!

So... let's do some more! 😁

(As an anniversary celebration, I've opened up today's request thread to all patrons regardless of tier!)

Post here with an asset request. I'll fill what I can and release each as I finish them. Each requested asset will be released to the whole patron group.

Suggestions:

Requests with likes from other patrons will have priority. The more likes, the higher chance of doing it.

Repeats are OK -- if I didn't get to a request from a previous month, feel free to post it again here.

Stuff with the most general use will usually be prioritized.

Image references are always helpful!

Animations should be simple: basic 3-4 frames animations.

Start small: I'm not going to have time to create a large tileset for an entire region, but a couple of special objects would be OK.

I'll be happy to fulfill OmegaModern style requests in addition to the usual Time Fantasy stuff. Just specify if you're looking for a specific style.

Off-style requests will have low priority since it won't be as useful to most people (Time Fantasy is the best bet, Omega Modern is OK too).

All patrons will have access to the graphics made from these threads.

1x new face per month. - Hey finalboss, I don't know if this request is too big, but I think your work on the facesets was awesome (even though you said it's not your comfortzone). I would love to see more faces for example the farmer (for the Harvest Mooners), King, Queen, Prince and Princess (needed for most fantasy based games). Especially the Beastheros (Beast Tribe) would be a fantastic choice in my opinion. I don't know if this request would interrupt the flow of your work, since you usually stick to one theme until it's done. I personally discovered for myself that Interrupting the usual workflow can lead to better progress. I hope I am not asking for too much. :)

A Cowboy or cowgirl character would be really helpful. SV characters of the pirate and crusader could also work.

Hello, I would love to see some more SV battlers. Would be amazing a SV for one of the mermaid/Tritons you made previously. Or the pirate from the set bonus with the beach tileset.

In the Monster Set there is a snake and a croco but I assume you wanted it like the shark as "in the Water" for example

I want to see a guide on how you go from "face base" to "face". It involves certain non-spriting elements like brushes and using that software to reduce the color depth. I can't reverse-engineer it, making the face bases kind of useless.

I do not know either if this is too much work, but this seemed like a great idea to me. And NPCs faces are as useful as hero's faces. In what fantasy game there isn't a farmer who sends you to a quest, in the very beggining? :-D

I would love to see a firing animation for the mecha set and also a walking animation since all they currently have is a flying one.

Most of the time in pixelart, you Go With the pencil and using a color palette... In the faces are some shadows, but the rest seems to be pencil + already used colors.

I'd like some type of cloth, leather and wool material icon. A stand for bows and arrows to more variety to the shops and female ninjas/Kunoichis.

You produced very nice facesets and charas. It would be very nice to do some "bust" from these characters. A lot of people like me would be very thankfull if you could add this material to complete your "charas asset" ! :)

That's because all you see is the end result. Jason mentioned his process in an earlier post, but--unlike with the rest of the sprites--he didn't go into enough detail for anyone to replicate it themselves.

One thing I'd like to see is some tiles for modern bathroom furniture (e.g. a toilet, a bathtub, a shower). Future Fantasy has tiles for kitchens, bedrooms and living areas, but I couldn't find anything for bathrooms.

Agreed, but then for Time Fantasy as well, an "old school" bathtub, sink etc. would certainly be a good addition for Time Fantasy as well! :)

I think my upvote would go towards the teller and judge. When I think Captain, I think Pirate, although I don't think this is what is asked for. The animals could be all useful but I think a Rhino and Penguin would be so cute.

More modular roof pieces would be awesome. Correct me if I'm wring, but I noticed the roof pieces that have the slopes facing to the left and right of the screen in the times fantasy tiles are 5 tiles wide. I was able to make roofs that are only 3 tiles wide with the existing tiles, but there are no roofs that end at an even width or any tiled roofs that end with a flat top like in RPG Maker's RTP. The ones that end with a flat top would be great for making cities and more interesting multi-storied buildings. Thank you for all your hard work.

Thanks, the UI windowskins have a lot of useful frame options. My suggestion is more for HUD elements like controller button icons (ABXY, D-pad arrows) and stat bars.

New patron here. Love the new shark, that fits in really nicely with the game I'm making! How about some more sea creatures, along the lines of the Izel's Observertory ones, like a jellyfish, electric eel, strange deep sea fish, maybe dolphins, nautilus, anything like that? Also some more birds would be cool, preferably toucan, parrots, puffin, owls, vultures, or any others.

I posted recently about doing the Future Fantasy facesets too. They would be excellent, but again, I realise a huge amount of work. They're not really so important for me personally, just a general suggestion, but it could open up some possibilities for more games using that set.

Recent subscriber here and been absolutely loving the patreon bonuses. Something I thought would be really cool would be more garden objects for Future Fantasy besides the benches and BBQ. - Plastic lawn chairs, possibly with diagonals? - Umbrellas or lawn flamingos? - Maybe some tiles for a pool?

Furniture from before, but show from behind perspective so you can put on the wall where the door is, if you put a couch facing the front of the store, it gives more detail compared to all furniture facing the normal way.

Oh by the way, do you have a tutorial post on how to draw above a base sprite, like for example, the base mining sprite or base fishing sprite? I'm pretty much a beginner to all of this so I might need some help with that. Thank you for all of the great sprites as well!
