Hello! Today's release is based on a patron request.

I was thinking about making a cute little faun type of character, but I ended up going in this direction instead, because I figure that we can never have too many sprites for intimidating monster enemies and/or bosses. So this guy is reminiscent of the big mean satyr monsters that you see in D&D or Magic.

There's two versions, as has become typical for these big Time Fantasy characters: one with a shadow and one without.

Downloads:

Satyr - Single Character Sheet - 100%

Satyr - Single Character Sheet - 200% (RMVX)

Satyr - Single Character Sheet - 300% (MV/MZ)

Satyr (with Shadow) - Single Character Sheet - 100%

Satyr (with Shadow) - Single Character Sheet - 200% (RMVX)

Satyr (with Shadow) - Single Character Sheet - 300% (MV/MZ)

Reminder for RPG Maker users: Add a "$" to the filename so the engine recognizes this as a single-character sheet.

Okay-- that's it for now. Have a wonderful weekend.

I'll be back with one more small one on Monday, and then we'll have the end of the month. See you soon.

Thanks

Man, I slept on a lot of your assets for the longest because the art style is a bit too low-res to fit with my game's more detailed sprites... But you consistently put out stuff that happens to be EXACTLY what I'm looking for at the time -- your recent Mirror Monster was another great example, I was literally working on a level involving mirrored enemy movements and reflection-based puzzled right when I found it. I figure if I can't make some of them work as-is, I can at least use them as a base or template to edit more to my liking... While still giving you the credit, of course. Keep up the great work!

I will probably use this one after modding to my game's style, thanks!

Ooooh, love it! Would you consider making a non-monster version of this? Something that could be used as an ally or PC or something. (This request brought to you by binging Percy Jackson; Grover is a wonderful character who should be protected at all costs.)

you're welcome to use this as a good guy... but if you're asking for a more friendly-looking faun character, it might be on my to do list!

Are you considering doing anymore side view battler sprites? I saw you put out one addition of side view battlers but couldn’t find any other. I’d like to use some of your newer monsters like this one but don’t know how i’d do a battle scene

finalbossblues

for a traditional rpg battle, usually you can crop out one of the side frames to use as a battler. I do like the potential idea of making custom poses for a bunch of these monster sprites though that i've released over time, hmm....

Nate Hiteshew

that would be awesome if you did currently my brother and I are designing a turn based fantasy game but we do feel a little limited with the amount of side view battlers available in your style at the moment. either way thanks for all your work looks awesome as usual!

I honestly think that is one of the biggest requests for me. You have SO many amazing characters, most with SV battlers to use with the basic battle animations. So there are a ton to use for your party and can even use them as enemies/bosses as well. More than enough to make a game. But the monster/creature sprites could all use even just even 2 more animations to use as animated SV battlers. They would make the whole set more cohesive by having sprites in the same style and all being animated. Having static enemies is a bit plain, and having walking animations only for enemies in battle is also a bit plain. Attack pose Hit pose
