Hey Mary I think you should play the Fallout games, Starting with either New Vegas or Fallout 4. Each game is stand alone and can be played entirely in 3rd person and 1st person but we know which one you'll chose. Fallout 4 is what the look and feel of the show resembles the most while Fallout New Vegas is the setting the show takes place in, in the California Nevada area set in the timeline after New Vegas. 👌

So the music in this show is 50s on purpose, the lore is, (none of this is spoilers just some fun background lore not explained in the show) because the alt reality this takes place in, the apocalypses happened in the year 2077 but in this reality, technology never advanced passed 1950s era. This show and the games take what people in the 1950s would think the future tech would be. Which is why everything despite it being in the 22nd century, it all looks and sounds like 1950s also known as "retro future" Once the bombs dropped, well, no more music was made, and this is what we hear. This setting is honestly one of the coolest concepts in any video game world ive ever played and im as giddy as a school girl seeing it live action.

"Thau shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every god damn time" is a callback to the fallout games or just video games in general, where when you follow the main quest you always end up doing the side missions instead xD (sorry Im commenting as I watch your 3hr uncut of the 3 episodes)

This is an outstanding show, regardless of whether or not the games exist. You don’t have to remember Cooper Howard’s name. He gets a new (nick)name. S1E1 The “radiation levels” story is a lie, and that’s not a spoiler. It’s a scientific fact. It doesn’t take 219+ years for fallout radiation to reach a safe level. The much bigger problem would be nuclear winter, which could make outside agriculture nearly impossible for many years, or even generations. Thank the video-game gods for stimpak medical healing; otherwise, Lucy would never become the main character. Movies and shows are terrible about selling the idea that you can get up and walk away from a stab or bullet wound with internal bleeding and organ damage. In the 1988 movie Die Hard, the NYC cop has a similar surname and a daughter named Lucy. Hmmmm. During certain types of volcanic eruptions (or nuclear-bomb explosions), the superheated air burns bodies to ashes, but because (some of) the body ashes get immediately buried by falling ashes, the relatively softer body ashes (in theory) can get replaced over time by sediment and harden, or the outer ashes could (in theory) be “cooked” a second time, by a later nuclear-bomb explosion. Long after this body-cast transformation, erosion could expose the hardened body-shape casts. So those “bodies” outside the Vault 33 door aren’t actually human remains; they’re merely the shape of human remains. When Maximus was interviewed, his voice changed every time he claimed to be innocent. Also, when he and Dane talk, Dane gives him a knowing look, as though he’s giving Max respect for ruthlessly standing up for himself and his lifelong goal. S1E2 This is a difficult show to watch, if you’re squeamish, as you’ll soon find out. If you play some of the games, you’ll find out that the turrets can’t hit shit. That shipwreck in the desert is real, believe it or not. Filly = landfill Now do you think that Maximus put the razor blades in his friend’s boot? The way that Lucy talks to others, she’s going to need a ton of plot armor. It’s interesting that The Ghoul was the only one old enough to have used a shopping cart (for its original purpose, not as a relic). S1E3 Communist accusations (in America) were NEVER about politics, and were always just a made-up “bad guy” word that anyone in power could use to destroy the reputation of anyone else (if they could make the accusation stick). By the size of all of the mutants, you’d think Lucy had walked all the way to Australia. ;) What’s weird is that The Ghoul carries saddle bags, even though he doesn’t ride a horse. Hmmm.
