So i've been doing this thing of checking what's coming out in the movies in 2024 especially if they're remakes or part 2's of movies so that I can film my reaction to the original/first part in time for the new movies release (hopefully that made sense)... and I've come across a movie called 'twister' this one was released in 1996 and part 2 is being released in July... i guess my question to you guys is, are you interested in the first movie at all? I'd love to hear your thoughts cos imdb rates it as 6.5/10 and we don't really get tornados in australia soooo i think that's why no one i know has watched this movie. :)

I think the original Twister is definitely worth a watch. Great cast, great effects for the time (and hold up fairly well). I definitely remember what a pop culture event it was when it came out. I think it’s not as fondly remembered because disaster movies tend not to make it to the realm of “Classic”. I’d recommend watching.

Yes, Twisters I guarantee wont even be as good as Twister. It's an amazing classic, plus Twister was filmed an hr up the road from me. Other than that, I mean the movie is pretty accurate as I'm somebody who lives where tornadoes happen hundreds a times a year. We actually just got out of a Tornado outbreak. I'm excited to see the new film too but it won't havr the same feeling as twister since I grew up with the original.

I absolutely hope you do. Twister is up there in my favorites more or less from nostalgia being a childhood favorite. I’ve been hoping you’d react to it with the sequel slated to release this summer. It’s definitely worth a watch. The U.S so far this year has had 1063 tornados through May 29th. Been a super active season.

This movie was huge back when it was released (watched it in the theater myself). But it came out during the 90s CGI craze and the director, Jan de Bont, was coming out of the monumental success of SPEED, so expectations were high. The movie is enjoyable because the actors were solid. But the story is thin and the dialogue is sometimes dripping corny. To those who enjoy this one, more power to you. I was never a big fan.

It’s hard to put a score on this movie since it’s a cult classic. People love it or hate it. I’ve seen it described as “the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen and I loved every second of it”. I vote yes.

Twister is one of the best weather related movies ever made and it holds up almost 30 years later. Absolutely worth watching!

Yes Twister is amazing. :). From the Director of Speed and produced by Steven Spielberg. Also, it is much deeper than your normal blockbuster as well. Also, the visual effects in the original still look amazing to do. Does not look dated at all. Also stars Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Cary Elwes.

Twister is an all time classic from the man who shot the action in Die Hard 1 and 3, Hunt for Red October and directed Speed. It is a truly wonderful film showcasing great acting talent from some of the best character actors ever and using some of the best CGI of the 90s. It also has a REALLY great audio mix. PLEASE react to it. There's never EVER a bad time to watch Twister.

Its a fine movie but nothing id ever thought back on and was like man i need to see thst again. I think the only reason its even getting a sequel is because Hollywood are a bit desperate right now, the original crow could be a real fun watch with the new one of that coming out soon

Hey Mary! It makes sense to me. I would say to watch “Twister” because while it’s not Oscar-worthy it’s a joyride and I think you’ll enjoy it. If you were a customer of mine in my video store days, I would definitely recommend you rent it ☺️

Twister is a fun watch. If you ever need help finding good movies, I can always think of some: Se7en (1995), Heat (1995) cast led by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, and Val Kilmer. King Kong (2005), Cinderella Man (2005), Due Date (2010), We're the Millers (2013), Gone Girl (2014). 12 Angry Men (1957), To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), Roman Holiday (1953), The Fly (1986), The Mist (2007), Carrie (1976), The Green Mile (1999), The Dead Zone (1983), Silver Bullet (1985), Misery (1990), Primal Fear (1996), 12 Monkeys (1995). These are not in any order; they are just movies you didn't have listed that I like.
