so PTA is my brother's fav director, yet I haven't seen a film by him.

One suggestion only, i'll be looking out for the most 'thumsed-up' comment

One Battle After Another (2025) is still out in cinemas here and $30 to rent atm... It won't be One Battle After Another (2025) until it's out on streaming services.. This PTA movie will be something I'll watch in the next couple days FYI

I’d say ‘Magnolia’ is a good place to start. Though, when it comes to PTA, there’s really no wrong place to begin; he’s one of the best, & most consistent, filmmakers of the last 30 years. So you could go with ‘Magnolia’, as I suggested, or start from the very beginning, with ‘Hard Eight’; just depends what genre of film you’re in the mood for, really. Looking forward to seeing what comes out on top.

“There Will Be Blood” is his best film, critically speaking. “Magnolia” is my personal favorite. And “Boogie Nights” is his most iconic; the cult classic that started it all. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

It's gonna be Boogie Nights and that's cool, but just for Future reference I'm a big fan of The Master, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix, it's an odd movie but captivating, it's so weird I love it

id say boogie nights. but fair warning, its a movie about the porn industry. you've seen game of thrones so boogie nights should be trivial by comparison lol. Just A lot of editing will need to be involved to make it youtube safe.
