My Top 2 favorite bands are THE BEATLES and ABBA. The BEATLES 1 soundtrack (which has some of their most popular hits) and ABBA Gold Greatest Hits are my Top 2 album picks. Despite being born in the early 1990s, the pop music I was exposed to early in my life were these guys (spent my early years in India before moving to Canada). OFF TANGENT: ABBA briefly reunited for one last album back in 2021 (Voyage) and it was great (vibes were similar to their old songs back in the 1970s-1980s).

Hey Mary, first of all, happy Twitchaversary! I will definitely check out the live stream once it’s up and running. As for pop/rock albums from the 1950s-1970s, I’m going to suggest five albums that I think are really good and that I think you will enjoy. 1) “Rumours”-Fleetwood Mac (1977) Still fresh and relevant after all of these years. A lot of personal stuff on this one especially the Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks relationship. So so good, though. 2) “Main Course”-Bee Gees (1975) This is the album where people were introduced to the new sound of the Bee Gees. It predates the disco hits they would have a couple of years later. And it doesn’t get much better than “Jive Talkin’”. 3) “Revolver”-The Beatles (1966) I chose this one because it’s my favorite Beatles album and it’s still relevant. It also introduced the world to backwards guitars and tape loops. “Rubber Soul” (1965) is another classic album, but this one is more of a rock album. 4) “A Night At The Opera”-Queen (1975) Love Queen. This is a classic album. The one that introduced “Bohemian Rhapsody” to the world. I love eclectic music and it doesn’t get more eclectic than Queen. 5) “Bad Girls”-Donna Summer (1979) I love Donna Summer. This album is a beautiful mix of pop and rock. I really think you will enjoy it cherry much.

Excellent suggestions so far. I'll add two: 1. The Beatles' Abbey Road (1969). A choice so obvious it's almost cliche. But justified. 2. Brian Wilson Presents Smile. In 2004, Wilson (of Beach Boys fame) finally released a version of the legendary unfinished Smile album from 1967. Then again, I have no doubt many today would prefer a Beach Boys best-of compilation. I'll try just popping over to wish you a happy anniversary. Speaking of which: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ObjtVdsV3I

1) "Some Girls" by The Rolling Stones. 2) Not 50's - 70's, but it's, but worth a listen... "We Don't Need to Whisper" by Angels and Airwaves. Changed my life.

This is a list I came up with since you said as much albums to suggest, as a hard rocker thankful you asked 70's. Black Sabbath - Paranoid (1970) Deep Purple - Machine Head (1972) ZZ Top - Tres Hombres (1973) Lynyrd Skynyrd (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) (1973) Montrose self-titled (1973) Budgie - In For The Kill! (1974) Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti (1975) Nazareth - Hair Of The Dog (1975) Ted Nugent self-titled (1975) Moxy self-titled (1975) Rush - 2112 (1976) Triumph self-titled (1976) Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak (1976) KISS - Rock and Roll Over (1976) Rainbow - Rising (1976) Starz self-titled (1976) Ramones self-titled (1976) Scorpions - Taken By Force (1977) UFO - Lights Out (1977) Legs Diamond self-titled (1977) Riot - Rock City (1977) AC/DC - Powerage (1978) Rose Tattoo self-titled (1978) Judas Priest - Stained Class (1978) Van Halen self-titled (1978) The Godz self-titled (1978) Molly Hatchet - Flirtin' With Disaster (1979) Blackfoot - Strikes (1979) 38 Special - Rockin' Into The Night (1979) Motörhead - Overkill (1979)

Ok, here’s my Bottom 5 (6-10): ☺️ 6) “Van Halen”-Van Halen (1978) Since Eddie played on “Beat It”, I have to put this one on the list. This is the album that introduced the world to “Eruption” and one of the greatest guitar solos ever. 7) “The Stranger”-Billy Joel (1977) Classic album. So many great pop and rock songs on this one including the title track. 8) “Who’s Next”-The Who (1971) This is my favorite Who album and has some songs featured on “Freaks And Geeks”. 9) “Rubber Soul”-The Beatles (1965) The next chapter in their career moving away from the boy/girl pop songs and getting more artistic. It also has one of my favorite songs of all-time: “In My Life”. 10) “Pet Sounds”-The Beach Boys (1966) More pop than rock, but it’s a classic album and Brian Wilson’s masterpiece. Songs that will make you smile and cry.

I just noticed also said songs in the post, that I can also pick songs from those albums or bands if it'll just be song reaction video. Whenever you decide let me know 👍

Some good choices here but I don’t see any 50’s so I’ll suggest a couple. It’s a little tough because a lot of the artist back then were very singles driven and didn’t always put out full studio albums. However these 2 in my opinion epitomize the 50s rock sound. 1. Elvis Presley”s self titled album from 1956 . 2. Buddy Holly’s self titled album from 1958.

For 60’s rock “ Are you experienced “ By “Jimi Hendrix and the experience “ (1967) is a must! Hendrix is possibly the most gifted electric guitarist to ever walk the earth! For 70s , I’m partial to punk rock and “ London Calling” by “The Clash” (1979) is probably the greatest punk rock album ever.
