The song about changes you were talking about is Landslide. It’s my absolute favorite song of all time. But I’m really sorry to hear about your friend. Mary! Thank you so much for the shoutout! This album has enough history that could be made into a streaming series just on the making of it. Literally, it was sex, drugs, and rock and roll. “Secondhand News” was reportedly inspired by the Bee Gees “Jive Talkin’”. A really good potboiler to open the album. “Don’t Stop” became popular again in America in 1992 when Bill Clinton used it as his campaign theme song. It’s a very upbeat song. Love that piano sound. “Go Your Own Way” is one of the best breakup songs ever made. Imagine having to sing it in front of your ex in the studio and in concert. “Gold Dust Woman” is pure Stevie Nicks. Haunting, mysterious, and beautiful. Love her. “Songbird” is such a beautiful ballad. Quite poignant. Christie McVie had the voice of an angel. “You Make Loving Fun” is my favorite track on the album. Love that clavinet sound and the guitar on this. And those harmonies? ❤️ One track that didn’t appear on the album that should have is “Silver Springs” a lovely ballad by Stevie Nicks. I highly recommend listening to it. So happy you did a new album reaction and would love for you to do more. Listening to this album again, it still holds up after all of these years. 🍒
