I disagree with Horatio on what Hobbits are supposed to depict. I believe Hobbits are how Tolkien thinks Mediterranean people (Spain, Greece, etc) live. And it's quite racist, they're small, lazy, hairy and love good food. Idk why everyone things he's depicting Brits.
