Joe Satriani’s tone is legendary and pretty tough to match with a digital amp modeler. The only way to truly nail it is with his full gear setup - which I don't have access to unfortunately. I got as close as I could using Amplitube, and I'm pretty happy with the results. For the tab, I really focused on replicating the studio version, while blending a few things I’ve seen him do live. The tapping section can be a real challenge — worth trying if you’re up for it!

This video was sponsored by Enya, so I do a walkthrough of the guitars features in the video, skip ahead if you aren't interested, but it really is an amazing practise guitar. Link for more details.

Enjoy learning this masterpiece, and remember the backing track without lead guitar is available in YouTube Memberships if you’d like to jam along.
