Will Slipper tiering be the new tiering? 😅

Questions here? I'd love to know what the first thing you're looking for is when you look at a paint job. Is it light placement first? Is it colours used? What's the thing that always stands out to you on a piece you love?

Todd Wallace

Giant Robots when? You should really treat yourself with even just building them :p

Thanks Henry! That was exactly the tone I had in mind when asking about the Seraphon. 😜 Nah, but seriously, I was super excited about them because I have a set of pre highlighted Kroxigor here myself. But I completely understand. Maybe a quick word on the “speed painting” videos, as a fairly novice painter I think Andy’s army painting videos resonate with me more than the competition pieces. I love the deep dives, don’t get me wrong, but the army painting ones seem a lot less daunting and more relatable (even if the results are still way above what I can pull off). Really loved the Stormcast and that all black Necromunda dude he did. Questions and suggestions: -Spearhead sucks? What? Why? How? Please elaborate. -Grimdark Stormcast… maybe using the burnt iron scheme you did for the Iron Hands character? -Yes please, revisit that knight! Sorry for the long post! Love these episodes! Glad you decided to add this format.

Thanks for this guys - loving the Patreon podcasts. Especially delighted that the answers to my questions were exactly what I wanted to hear 😁. This video prompted another question: why is Spearhead bad? Having never played a tabletop war game I was thinking of starting there if I ever get my Ironjawz painted. 40k is waaay too complicated for a noob and Spearhead seemed like a good on-ramp for AoS if I liked it. Interested to know why you think it’s not fun. Cheers!

Hi guys, thanks for responding to my YouTube comment. I just want to extend my question from there to here: As a new painter, I started my collection only recently during this refresh of so many paint brands. I would really appreciate hearing your opinions comparing new formulations to each other because it isnt helpful to know paint that I never had and cant get anymore was better than what there is now.

Perfect timing for my early morning before work painting session. Cheers!

Question for next time (or for at some point): How much of the mini do you leave black/dark? Seeing pictures on social media, often the darkest areas of a mini look black (or near to), but I wonder if that's just lighting and contrast or if people do actually leave them black (or almost black) and only work up the areas where light hits. It's often hard to tell without having the miniature in-hand. I see someone like NRM working up from black and presume a lot of his model undersides are the darkest tones, while others seem to go to town painting details on undersides, but just in darker tones. Is there a commonly accepted approach? Good example would be under cloaks at the back of a mini, or the underside of a horse for example.

When is Henry going on the Juggz Podcast? 😄

Thank you for keeping the podcasts flowing! Will there be a Cult of Paint edition of the new 2024 H&S Infinity airbrush?

Burning question I think we all need the answer to, will we be getting dwarves in the upcoming Deorgard release?
