Hey everyone,

Final video for the healer. This is my thoughts around the Golden Demon. There isn’t much to watch, it’s more of a listen!

I hope it comes across the way I want to. There’s been a lot of discussion around the Golden Demon the last few weeks and I just want to make sure it’s clear that I have zero complaints about the judging for my pieces. I’m really pleased to get commended with the deer. Not winning with the Eldar was disappointing for me, but also motivating. I really enjoyed the creation of the deer piece and that’s what matters. I’m coming out of this one more postive and motivated than last time which is great.

I’ve already started my project for Adepticon, and it’s my favourite so far! Hope you get something from this video.

I really enjoyed this - I think your mindset and positivity really come through here - I'll try and say hello at SMC this weekend (and Monte if I find you!) - Great to see the early stages of your piece too - and I think your words were bang-on - I didn't feel like you were putting a downer on anything at all. I had an absolute blast at GD this year too - I came away ultra-inspired. Amusingly the piece of mine I thought would do the best did the worst, so sometimes you just don't know what the competition has in store :D - perhaps it'll do better this weekend. We shall see!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on GD. I entered for the first time this year and had a really great experience. Thanks to you and Henry for all the tutorials and trying to push people out of their comfort zones. I sadly didn't see you, otherwise I'd have loved to talk to you in person

Also really enjoyed this. Really interesting to hear about your mindset. Very glad to hear you're in a better space after this GD. I don't think it can be underestimated how challenging it can be when something creative you've done is judged by other people, and ultimately they don't like it as much as you think they should (or want them to!). I know it can absolutely batter me. It seems to hurt way more than losing at sporting competition for example. P.S totally think the deer being healed is a great metaphor for your painting mojo.

Such a great video Andy, really glad to hear you're in a positive mindset after Spiel! And for what it's worth, I think it's always awesome when people are passionate about their hobbies like you are, that will always be cooler to me than someone who is nonchalant

This is one of my favourite dioramas of all time. Idea great atmosphere amazing. Painting no words is epic. I am a big fan of smaller dioramas / duels. Mark Lifton is my hero🫡 Looking forward to the next one.
