Hey all! This is all the brush work for the Battlesuit. It has been great to do this tutorial as it has made me want to pick up the project again. Currently have 10 battle suits on the desk!

Hopefully you enjoy it, and excited to see if anybody does something similar!

Let me know your thoughts,

Andy

Love how this guy turned out and is inspiring my latest attempt! I'm wondering with that oil liner you're using, are you okay to use something like the Tamiya panel liner? My understanding is that it's enamel and may peel the acryllic? (I'm using Citadel paints)

Would love to know how the base is done.

Love the oil paint for weathering! I did it for my death guard and it felt like cheating, it was so easy! Really great guide, Andy! Thank you

Loving the quality of the pdfs mate.

Kimera paints are really difficult to get hold of.

Amazing guide Andy, wish I’d had this years earlier. What method do you use to do your chipping? Sponge? Or simply freehand with a brush?

Any idea what would be good sub for Vallejo blue violet? Sometimes swatches aren’t great on websites

Citadel or scale75 if possible?

Piers Meagher

Braineater Azure - Scale 75 is a very close match [2.31 in terms of CIEDE200 colour distantance]

Genestealer Purple is closest from Citadel

I’m Really glad that you include errors and corrections with explanations in your tutorials, it’s very helpful. Loving your advice on painting variations of purple. Anything from hot pink right through to cold purple is right up my street but magenta is the best.

Hi Andy or Henry!, Thanks for making all the great tutorials for us. I know you're busy but if you have a moment could i please ask how you achieved the look of these great bases, loving the dry rocky desert look. I know they are bark chips and colourwise i thought perhaps Gobi Brown with a Zandri highlight (i've noticed Andy loves Gobi Brown =) but am i missing anything else? have pigments been applied with a brush or airbrush? Thanks again o/

Hey Andy, is there anywhere I can see more photos of your Tau army? I’d love to look at how it comes together overall and how you did infantry.
