Hey everyone!

Hope you have all been enjoying the massive amount of content on Youtube. I just wanted to show you what I am working on for your Patreon exclusive tutorial.

It's the new Necron Overlord from Indomitus. The colour scheme is inspired by the artist Nekro. Im going to show you how to create some atmosphere by using this green highlight through out the whole mini, with NMM and lighting effects.

I was going to post part one this weekend, and part 2 next weekend. but as the miniature isn't out until the 25th, I will post the finished guide then. Hopefully your Indomitus Box arrives then and you can have a go if you fancy!

This weekend I'm going to show you the White Scar Tutorial you might have seen on my Instagram.

I am also going to record a little video to say what's going up on the Patreon. This is a good opportunity for me to answer some questions from you guys! So please, in the comments below add some cool questions you want to ask. It can be anything from recommendations for paints, or what projects we have coming. We are working hard to make content for you all and hope you are enjoying it!

Looking forward to your questions,

Andy

Lovely stuff.

Sounds great! Question for the Q+A - What has been your favourite project to work on since you started Cult of Paint?

Joe Westley

My question is. When will you be painting the Lumineth realm lords? 😁

Jim Singleton

Awesome stuff. Question for Q&A What paints do you find your selves using the most or are there a core number of paints you'd consider essential?

mclargehuge

Not really a question, but maybe a quick "heres some further info". How can we go further about using inks similar to your video? So far I have gotten to....adding purple ink to purple paint. Loved the result, but not sure how to go about using other colours. Does it work with red, blue, green etc? Is it worth the results?

Mathijs Gloudemasn

Looking great! Questions for the Q&A (or another video): - When you guys mess up in a way that can't be easily painted over, how do you deal with that? - While varnishing through the airbrush, do you guys thin that at all?

Jake Toner

Just discovered you guys this morning and have binged all of your videos - my new favourite painting channel. Questions that I have: 1. What nozzle/needle do you use on your airbrush? 2. When will we get a video on painting flesh? 3. How come on some of your power armour videos (Blood Angels), you don't paint the pauldron trim? 4. Will there be a video on technical effects? Such as blood, pus, acid, etc.?

Hey Andy and Henry, loving the videos and tutorials. Here are my questions for Q&A/a request for coverage about airbrush use: is it possible to go into nerdy/niche depth about airbrush techniques, tricks and tips? Specifically: - Proximity of airbrush to model for various techniques (e.g. highlight vs base coat) and angles/holding positions of the airbrush for these. - Appropriate PSI and/or varying trigger control for these specific techniques (Henry mentioned 20 in a recent video, e.g. is that consistent across all techniques with only adjustment to trigger pressure for various effects?). - Paint consistency and management (i.e. you've mentioned tamiya flat white a lot and how diluted it can be: I have found it often 'spiders' when diluted or, even if it's okay, will spider depending on proximity to the model - ways of fixing/understanding this would be great) Anything to get the airbrush techniques down would be super helpful, especially with Indomitus approaching.

Great work! For Q&A : do you think that creat a Discord for the Patreon would be a good idea? Would love to share with the other patreon 😉

Adam Barlow

Love your tutorials, was wondering if you had any plans to provide more of a full look into the way that you do NMM and maybe share some of the color recipes you picked up for various types of NMM steel, gold etc.

Patrick Gowan

I’d love to see more tips and tricks for air brushing.

Rob Cass

Hi Andy, this is another vote for questions about airbrushing, most especially varnishing, but also achieving those awesome transitions like on your White Scar and T’au, and Henry’s Black Templar, making the most out of using zenithal under shading, and any suggestions you have for avoiding tip-dry/ clogging on finer needles. Also any advice you have on shading and highlighting TMM would be great too. Cheers!

Max

I’d love to see a gold recipe!!!

Max

Just straight metallic. Be interesting to see it done similar to your marine posts

Max

Or even custodes as they are quite pipular

Nory Proctor

Something I've always struggled with is tackling models with a mixture of flesh and armour-what do I airbrush, does zenithal still work, what do I do first? Models similar to Khorne blood Reaver's. Thanks guys. Love all the content so far

Keep up the amazing work, gents! Who or what are your biggest artistic influences (both inside and outside the hobby) and how has this changed over time, if at all?

David Williams

I’m a beginner painter aspiring to table top level at the moment. How much edge highlighting is recommended; every single edge GW style or just the most important edges. Thanks for all the great videos and PDFs.

Hi! New Patreon, attracted by your YT vids so thanks - like a few people above I'd love more really detailed stuff on airbrushing, I've done a lot over the years but still come unstuck. I have the Infinity CR Plus, but never use the 0.15 needle because it clogs in 30 seconds and I can't fix it! Detailed stuff about what you're thinning with, when, dealing with clogs and cleaning as well as methods of application and all that great stuff :)
