Hey guys,

Here's Andy's latest tutorial on painting fur. Great for large scale but also some interesting points to bear in mind when painting things like horses for tabletop armies too.

How to paint FUR on miniatures. Using Wulf from our Deorgard kickstarter!

In this video Andy goes through how to paint convincing fur onto a model that doesn't have it all sculpted on already. It's something that is particularly important on larger scale models such as our Deorgard range. But also on things such as horses for tabletop wargames like Warhammer, Age of Sigmar, Lord of the Rings, DnD etc. Check out the Deorgard kickstarter here! - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cultofpaint/deorgard-by-cult-of-paint GW - Stormvermin Fur S75 - Petroleum Grey S75 - Graphite S75 - Sandalwood VMC - Salmon Rose 70.835 VMC - Pale Blue Grey 70.907 AK - Highlight skin Paint list key: GW: Games workshop VMC: Vallejo model colour VMA: Vallejo model air VGC: Vallejo game colour VGA: Vallejo game air VMCS: Vallejo metal colour series S75: Scale 75 AK: AK Interactive W&N: Winsor & Newton Below is our affiliate link, and the only place to purchase our signature series airbrushes (our brushes ship globally.) This is next level — it's melting my wig. Question: how could you apply this to "32mm scale" models that have sculpted fur, i.e. very little surface area? Thinking particularly about fur-clad Space Wolves.

Excellent, thanks Andy or Henry! "Git good at fine lines." I can work with this — the same ruthless attitude towards your pupils as a Russian ballet instructor would have.

This looks super cool Andy! I’m also suspicious that it’s actually a lot more difficult than you make it look... 😂 Question: does this work with very short horse hair (like on the body not the mane), or would that need something like stippling? Cheers.

James

Enjoyed that. Really useful. Thanks

Would this work with an animal that has really short hair and a very shiny coat like a horse?
