It’s the weekend people! Hope you have some painting lined up. With the gold finished, I shall be starting the black and silver for your tutorials next week!

I am really happy with the recipe for this gold; because I feel it is easier to replicate and others I have seen and done in the past myself. You don’t need all of the colours to produce a great result like this, but it makes it easier with no mixing. This means you can adjust the approach to your skill level/confidence.

Hope you like it, it’s a long one but I hope you enjoy the information within.

Paints used are Mostly Vallejo model colour:

Black 70.950

English uniform 70.921

Green brown 70.879

Dark yellow 70.978

German yellow 70.806

AK Pastel Yellow or VMC Ice yellow 70.856

Ivory 70.918

Fantastic tutorial. You've made NMM significantly less intimidating for me, so I'll be giving it a shot in the near future. Regarding feedback for your videos, personally, I'm enjoying the longer clips and I think overall you provide enough demonstration before going off camera to complete an area. I think the only thing I wanted to see a bit more of was how you did the lower bit of the shoulder pad, but you provided enough information on the other bits that I could infer how to do that part if I needed. Thanks very much for the excellent content, as always!

Great tutorial I now need to put into practice. Luckily have all the colours mentioned just need to find the right project.

Great tutorial! Question: when I try to follow to get gold NMM effect, it looks great in pictures, but in person, it doesn't look nearly as gold. Are there any tricks that I may be missing or is this somewhat normal?
