Hi everyone,

Here's the final part of the Crimson Fists dred series. Let me know what you think, what you like, what you'd like to see more/less of etc.

I've created a playlist for the Army Painting+ series, it's linked the in the description of the video.

Have a great weekend,

Henry

Really enjoyed it, has me tempted to dig the Indomitus set out of my pile of shame. I like both formats. Hearing what goes into your decision making is what makes it educational/interesting for me, and that was on full display in both the DE & the SM series, so I'm happy either way. Would love to see Chaos feature in a future AP+ (as well as the Blood Knight, if that's still on the horizon)! A PBC or Drone to add on to the DG one, or Thousand Sons to link up with their soon-to-be-released codex would both be super cool.

Enjoyed every minute! I've tried to use your pre shade technique on my salamanders but the green (warpstone glow) looks way too minty in the white areas. If I try to reduce this I have to apply the paint so thick that I may as well have not preshaded. What colours do you recommend so I can achieve that iconic deep green but with a nice airbrush highlight?

Great looking final result Henry; amazing that you got that done in just a couple of sessions. Also very much appreciated the myth-busting explanations of silver chipping for both realism and effect - will definitely be working on that basis in the future. Cheers!

really great video i love the mix of videos that show technique and the longer or more broken down format like this, i do generally tend to paint along or like it when a model is covered in all its parts like this as it helps pick up so many useful tips

I really enjoyed this series Henry, fully agree with you on the format. This was a great opportunity to focus on some specific techniques and they really came out crystal clear. A dreadnought addition to my own crimson fists has now made it to the top of my to-do list, I can't wait to try some of these lessons! (just need to finish my 25 skellies first 😁)

Loved this video great idea to really focus on some aspects as a guide to apply to a whole army, might sound dumb but I’d like to see how you’d intergrate characters into an army painting series, still keeping the style but how to make them pop without simply just painting it better. Or maybe how’d you go about basing some characters or units differently to really grab the veiwers attention on a gaming board. Probly already covered this but new here and trying to make my way through the back log of videos 😆

Hey James, I’ll definitely use characters as examples too. Perhaps that will be when we revisit an army, or if the army really centres around them.

Haven’t watched it yet, but I can’t wait to find the time to watch it and then I’ll come back to you :)
