Hey Cultists!

Hope you had a great hobby filled weekend. Here is the first part of Abaddon. I’m really excited to do this mini and now the conversion and face is out of the way I hope that’s the hard work done!

Next week I’m going to paint the black armour and metallic trim. Let me know your thoughts!

Looks absolutely fantastic Andy - really atmospheric! Can’t wait to see the next step. One question: when you sanded the putty down and then used paint to check that it was flush, did you remove that paint or did you just prime over it? Cheers!

Love the conversion and the shadow on the face, I much prefer him with the oldschool trophy racks. Can't wait for next week's video.

Looking absolutely fantastic Andy! I noticed the interior of his head area (not sure what the correct term for that section of armour is) is red. Is this a conscious choice to take some inspiration from artwork of Horus?

This turned out perfect. I really like the highlight, don't think it's over the top with the pale blue. Just the right balance for me.

This is a great conversion - so interesting when you point out the different trophy racks and lack of cape - I didn't notice them at first. Like you say, way more akin to the original sculpt. Excited to see your full army of awesome marines - maybe with the new legion praetor in there as well?
