Hey everyone!

I’m back in action with a new video series. Before getting back to Elrond I needed some relaxing painting. I’ve Eldar on the mind constantly so I’m diving in! I feel super guilty with all my unfinished army projects so I’m trying to overcome that and get this done, searching for a more achievable standard.

This first part is more of an intro and waffle, but next week I will do the Autarch from start to finish .

Eldar Army Part 1

Amazing. Did you do the guardians helmet in the same bone? Or is it white?

Raaid Chaudry

Big fan of these type of videos where you talk about the process/planning going into a project

Cracking vid, just to hear the thought processes & self critique etc out loud.

One of the best mini painting vids I’ve seen. Totally relatable, in terms of time available to complete projects and the boredom of painting the same colour scheme. It took me 2 months to paint 9 Corsairs!! Airbrushing is a new skill for me and as someone who is about to start an Eldar army, I may join you in your project It’s certainly inspired me. Thanks.

Great video like always! Very interesting to hear your thought process and very motivating to watch. Being able to set on the idea of "It's fine to do a simpler scheme so I can finish the project" is quite challenging sometimes. I also have an old Ulthwe army to finish from back when I was playing 10years ago and it's giving me some motivation to get back to it! Thanks for the content Andy, you can do it!

Always enjoy the videos where you and Henry talk about some of the challenges you have and ways you get (or don't get) around them! Good luck on the project. I know the challenges of trying to find the right red for Saim-hann... mine have been sitting there for a few months with that challenge. I was really hoping you'd make a video that sorted it out for me haha!

Looking great, Andy!!! You got this you absolute Legend!!!!! Just think of it like reps at the gym, one more set, push push. :)

Andy just embrace kill team. Then a whole army is only a handful of minis hahahahha.....I mean that's how I ignore my unfinished armies. Shhhh it's just another kill team I'm starting...hahaha

Epsylon

Definitly love the idea ! Love this video and looking for those wich will come about on this projetc :)

Brilliant work Andy, good luck.

I am all for a series of videos called "Andy's Accountability Army"! It might serve as a really good motivator for all of us working on army projects at the moment :D

Well, this is right up my alley! Really excited for this project, this is the encouragement I need to get my own Ulthwe done!

Does the airbrush have a factor in the tightness of the highlights? I’m at the start of my airbrush journey and have recently bought the evolution. Am I correct in thinking the infinity has a 0.2 tip compared to the 0.4 of the evolution? Will this affect the ability to get those lovely highlights or is it just down to skill and experience?

cultofpaint

It’s kind of a long answer but in a nutshell I recommend learning with 0.4. It is more predictable and has fewer problems. A 0.2 can produce finer lines but blocks so easily. That’s why I use the method of “trimming” the highlights by going back in with the black. Hope that’s helps
